I’m in the process of relocating to Dallas for work and when I found out there is a black family owned Chicago-style restaurant right here in the Dallas area, I just had to give it a try. I’m born and raised in Chicago and I must say Shoagies hits on all levels of Chicago, plus the mural on the wall is dope af!!! Me and my daughter have dropped in 3 times so far. You guys must try the sweet steak with hot peppers and a turkey hoagie! I also love me a gyro cheese burger and a crispy Philly, which is a deep fried Philly cheese-steak. You can’t go wrong no matter what you try! Ain’t nothing like Chicago food! Can’t wait to try everything on the menu!

I saw this place on tik tok and took a 40 minute drive to try it out. Very disappointed. I ordered the shed (catfish & shrimp sandwich) and fries. I wanted a lemonade but they were out and it’s the only drink listed on the menu. I paid cash and they were also out of coin change. I’m not sure if cherry tomatoes on a sandwich is a Chicago thing since that’s the theme of the place but I’d recommend sliced tomatoes on a sandwich and also not drowning it in sauces. Mayo wasn’t listed in the description on the menu but was on the sandwich. The fish and shrimp was bland. Also the bathroom could use some attention. Love the Togo containers.

Great portions so it’s worth the cost. Best Chicago style hoagies in Texas to date. Can’t wait til the grand opening when the bar is open and they add the sweet steak (home of the hoagie/Taurus flavors) to the menu. Can’t wait.

I throughly enjoyed Shoagies! The art is amazing and the floor design is out of this world. I had The Shed and it was delicious and hot! The fish and shrimp were crispy. The loaded cheese fries are a must! And the Oreo cake is moist, very good! You have to get their Strawberry Long Island to wash it all down. I’m coming back and bringing friends! Many menu items to try!

Great atmosphere. Food was fantastic and a true Chicago hoagie sandwichich. Bread was fresh and piled so much meat. Will return again. And lemonade are to dye for, so refreshing.

Listen when I tell you how excited I was to hear somebody brought some Midwest food to the South. The atmosphere is fun, the staff are friendly and location is perfect. I had the Philly on fries and a peach lemonade. So tasty. I hear people complaining about prices. I dont see anybody complaining about the high prices at other establishments. You pay for what you want to eat. It is definitely worth every penny.

The food was amazing. I had the D Rose with fries and mild sauce. Reminds me of back home in the Chi, everything was so flavorful. The peach lemonade was the bomb. Will definitely be back.
