I was very excited to see roti and curry on this menu in Mount Dora because i really enjoy this dish elsewhere. Our roti was burnt. It smelled burnt, looked burnt, and tasted burnt. If I can add photos, I will.. You can order the “sauce” one of three differ ways: mild, medium, or hot. I ordered medium thinking it would have a lit more flavor and it came so spicy, we couldn’t even dip the bread slightly to taste it. My chest was hurting within minutes.

My absolute favorite Indian restaurant in central FL! The food is consistently amazing and the place has great atmosphere for the space they’re working with. The prices may look intimidating but the food is very high quality and they have large portions for that are great for sharing. Definitely worth trying, I cannot recommend more highly!

When two cousins come together to start a family owned business you know the food will taste good. I was every impress with this family owned business here in Mount Dora, FL. It might be a small restaurant but the attention to detail of the the gold artwork, lights, budda shrine, decor style make it unforgettable. I ordered the mango drink with yogurt that I usually get but this place puts fun different designs in the milk on top making it extra special. I liked it.

The owners are lovely people and very friendly. They have a nice lunch buffet. The sauces are flavorful and the beer is cold and good. It’s a quaint lovely restaurant and it’s nice to see their daughters artwork on the walls. We will see you soon for another amazing meal.

I’ve tasted Indian food all over America. This was the best I’ve had. I had the Shrimp Biryani OMGosh it was sooo good. The waiter sat me quickly, and took my order quickly as well as the place was half full. I’m moving to the area so I expect I’ll be going to Shiva quite often. I had to get a to~go container as the portion was huge.

One of the worst Indian restaurants we have experienced. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully laid out. Our waitress that evening was wonderful but the gentlemen seating people didn’t have a clue what he was doing. They had open tables and made us wait 35 minutes or longer. The food was bland and not tasteful at all for the price they charge. It was mediocre food at best.

Went to Shiva in downtown mount dora today around 3pm. We didn’t realized they close at 3pm and reopen at 5pm. We were super bummed at first but they saw us at the door and let us in anyways to eat. It was super kind and made my day! I’ve always had such a great experience there and the food was fabulous as always!! I don’t recommend doing what I did because they deserve a break and I respect their hours, but I just want to say thank you so much for letting us dine!!❤️

We went today for lunch, and although the food and service were not bad, we were not completely satisfied with the flavor. My friend has a lot of knowledge about Indian flavors and ingredients because he is and indian chef and restaurant owner. The lamb curry had a good flavor, but the chicken vindaloo was purely q tomato taste, which is not an ingredient of chicken vindaloo. It was acidy and lacking in flavor. Tasted like it was made in a rush with can tomato and some Indian spices.
