Honestly, I just don’t know how to review this place. On one hand, the place just looks old, rundown, and sketchy. On the other hand, the food came out slow but tasted above average. All matching the low prices. Don’t expect quick service or food, but there are signs for that up to set your expectations. Cash only too – no ATM. The watress was nice and did everything but cook. Server, cleaner, and is the manual dishwasher. French toast was thicker bread and tasted good, the eggs were good and the bacon thin. Omelet was ok and the hash browns lacked flavor. I don’t think this place is for everyone.

Hidden gem!! The outside and inside of this diner is rustic, vintage and clean. Husband and wife team run the diner and couldn’t be any nicer!

This is a legit 1930’s Diner. The food is fresh and delicious. Waitstaff is excellent. Locals, regulars, and you. The price is very reasonable. Just off Rt. 2 in Shirley, Massachusetts.

The chef knows how to cook an egg over easy. What a nice surprise! This is a compliment. Our breakfast was very good. Perfectly cooked eggs. (my husband half-heartedly orders his eggs scrambled at most restaurants…after many years of ordering ‘over easy’ and getting disappointed) We both gambled on ‘over easy’ eggs and were delighted; they were perfect. Good breakfast, good price. Classic diner (but needs updating).

I love breakfast at diners and this one is one of my top experiences. It is a small, traditional diner, full of locals who like to chat it up and the breakfast was tasty and affordable. We had a fantastic experience.

I have been there twice in the last week! And both times I had the corn chowder and grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Great waitresses!! Go all the time!! Great food!! Bob the owner/chef is great!! He cooks my order anyway I want including adding onions to my homefries!! Where you get a cup of coffee for $1.59 and it is bottomless. Go see Bob on Thursday his special is meatloaf. To die for. You have to get there early because it sells out.

I have no idea how long we’ve been waiting, but someone somewhere behind me called out to the waitress and asked if he could order. I’ve completed an (easy) crossword puzzle at a leisurely pace, had two mugs of coffee, sent a text to a friend, and looked up a few facts while reading my magazine. It’s a rainy Sunday and a pleasant place to linger, but boy oh boy, this is long. Addendum: my phone tells me my car has been parked for 59 minutes. I spoke to the waitress, she apologized, and spoke to the cook, and we got our order within 10 minutes. The diner is a classic, and my breakfast was good. Unfortunately, my companion’s home fries tasted like greasy cardboard.
