They did a great job renovating a classic Southampton staple. The food is reasonably (for the Hamptons) priced and definitely delivers on quality. The fries are incredible, McDonald’s style, almost a carbon copy. Excellent sandwiches and pasta. Good beer selection, good service and a solid bar to hang at.

What an eye opening experience. Food was fantastic, Gina was fantastic. Living in Southampton 18 years and just never thought about going in because of the old menu which for me, I was not a fan. Thumbs up to this welcome Southampton newbie with a new concept. Woo Hoo.

Our 3rd time eating here… 2nd time was the best… I should have ordered the mussels like I did before.,my shrimp cocktail was inedible. My husband’s swordfish was 1/2 the thickness as last time although good. Service still needs help…

Wait staff is great. Hostess leaves a lot to be desired. Came here once and was forced to sit at a specific table outside even though the entire place was empty. Friday night, thought maybe they had reserved tables. Came back a week later and were forced to sit at a table in the scalding sun when every other table was empty. We asked to move and the hostess said every other table was booked. Sat outside for an hour and a half (because service was a little slow, not because we sat chatting and drinking) and the backyard remained totally empty. Will not be returning.

Place is very good for this area. Not a drab tourist trap. It has class. Good beers (some of them german), good food , wonderful staff and even nice bathrooms. The atmosphere is pleasant here too.

There was no reason to purchase Shippy’s Pumpernickel if you were going to sink it. Why? The restaurant that exist today bears no resemblance to the one of a kind, iconic, distinctive, and unique spaces that generations have known and loved, and generations would have continued to flock to. The restaurant, bar, and menu in todays Shippy’s can be found…….everywhere.

One of the last handful of the original restaurants of Southampton’s still thriving and operating in this town! And so happy it is! No clue what these negative nelly reviewers have to complain about. The food is solid and stick to your ribs good, the portions to price ratio is also very balanced plus the waitresses have been there 30-40 years and know their loyal based customer’s usual orders over the phone just by hearing their voice. There are old pictures of what the restaurant looked like back in the early days and other fine memorabilia on the walls too.

Beautiful renovation. Lively local energy and delish food. Everything is made in house and locally sourced which is so cool ! I love the schnitzel the pretzel is huge and the beer cheese sauce is to die for. Also the Mac and cheese !!!! Mmmmmm. Can’t wait to see the full menu!

One of my new favorite places located in South Hampton close to the theatre. Dim calm lighting. Very nice staff and the food was excellent. New York steak was delicious. Perfectly cooked to my preference. Highly recommend if ur looking for a great meal with fair prices.
