The restaurant was very clean, even the bathrooms! The service was attentive, if a bit slow, as there was only one server but not a big deal. The highlight was definitely the food and freshness of the fish. I hand the hand roll combo and the small sashimi plate. Bothe were delicious. There is plenty of parking and a wonderful open atmosphere.

Excellent sushi restaurant! We stopped by here when passing through and arrived right as they opened at 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The owner / chef was super nice, and the service was fast. The jalapeño poppers are made with spicy tuna and cream cheese, and they were delicious! The Red Line Roll was our favorite, with escolar on top! We had a sashimi plate and got some uni and toro, and then the chef recommended some ocean trout (umi masu) that was delicious. It’s like salmon, only creamier in texture. The atmosphere is great, and the fish is fresh. Definitely a place for any sushi lover to try!

Great new place in Marmalade, right next to RP and downtown. They have a great selection of sushi rolls, sashimi and other Asian food options. They have all the appetizers you know and love. They also have some of their own creations on the menu to make your new favorites. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The service is great and the place is really nice inside. We all have to do our part so these small businesses stay in business!

First time trying out Shinobi Sushi, and we were completely blown away. We sat at the Sushi Bar and received outstanding service from both of the chefs and the wait staff. The Ninja roll is absolutely amazing!!! We cannot speak highly enough about the entire classic maki roll section and the Vegas roll. Do NOT skip on the yakitori. It was phenomenal. The rolls were out in minutes and the presentation and freshness of the fish was superb. Every flavor was on point. Make sure to ask for the eel sauce and spicy mayo they are made in house and killer. We found out that the owner and chef Ken makes 27 sauces IN HOUSE daily. Finished off with the mochi dessert and it was covered in whip cream and chocolate sauce. The atmosphere was modern and clean and the music was amazing all night. Will be coming back here weekly. New favorite Sushi Place in SLC.

I definitely recommend coming to this place if you are looking for some sushi but don’t want to break the bank! The quality of the fish is much better than the Itto sushi place I went to last night. Def not as upscale as Takashi, but I think that’s what makes it perfect. Loved the hand rolls I got from here!

Man, every dish is on POINT! I went here with my co-workers and every single one of us enjoyed the food. The sushi tasted great and we really liked the steak as well! It comes with this special sauce that tastes heavenly. Great atmosphere as well. Definitely recommend this new restaurant in town!

Great place for sushi in SLC. Just a little north of downtown so you don’t have to worry about paying for parking. Everything we have had here has been excellent quality. Service is great as well.

A very disappointing night. The Unagi Donburi was just not great and at $22, way overpriced. The average cost of Nigiri 2 piece was $5, $6, $7 – crazy! The Spicy Tuna roll was nasty, smelled super fishy. We had the server take it away, she was nice enough to remove it from our check. She actually smelled it and said it smells fine. That is a first, wow. It stunk like old fish and tasted horrible. Furthermore, the unevenness of the tuna in the roll was a disgrace. Definitely amateur hour for this sushi chef. The soft shelled crab roll was actually okay, about average. I am not from Salt Lake, but if this spot is typical of the expensive sushi that is below average, I really feel sorry for the Utah folks.

Wow, I’m so happy to have found this amazing new restaurant in the Marmalade district. Everything was just amazing. Bright open space with open kitchen and sushi bar, beautiful separate bar with Kirin & Sapporo on tap. I had the filet mignon and tempura shrimp bento box this time and it was perfectly prepared, fresh and a little of everything I like. Can’t wait to come back and try sushi, I have a feeling I was missing
