We stopped in for a late lunch at Shiki. We weren’t sure of our choice initially. The host looked up, said, “Hi,” and went back to helping another couple. I have zero issue with his assisting them first, but would have been nice to hear, “I’ll seat you in a moment,” or something similar. We waited a little awkwardly, not sure if we should seat ourselves or not.

Very pleasant experience! Food was really good. Presentation was very nice. Service was excellent! Very friendly staff! Chicken Tereyaki came out sizzling and very tender and flavorful. White tiger roll was very innovative with different flavors and texture was great!

So initially, being seated, we were not greeted for a good 7-10 minutes even though the guy passed us a couple times. This was the ONLY negative we had from there on out. After that, our server was very attentive, and the dishes were amazing with great flavor. We highly recommend this Japanese Sushi house.

We reserved a table for 5 to celebrate a birthday. We ordered the chicken teriyaki, the Scorpion Roll, the Fantastic roll and the Godzilla, as well as a tempura shrimp and vegetables. It was a mixed review. Tempura shrimp and vegetables were not good. The batter was not crisp and it was too thick and gluey. The vegetables served with it were odd and didn’t lend well to being battered. The Scorpion Roll and Fantastic roll got great reviews as fresh and flavorful. The Godzilla roll tasted old and fishy. The teriyaki was nothing too exciting but was okay. The service was friendly but very unsure of everything and spilled our rice when they brought the food. That wasn’t a big deal but she did say she’d come back to clean it up and we never saw from her again the whole meal. We stepped over rice on the way out. Overall, they can use some refinement for certain. Another draw back is the tight booth configuration. There are no tables and chairs for larger parties.

Was very excited to try this place out but did not live up to all the good reviews. Everything tasted fishy, we ordered rolls, unagi, sashimi and soft shell crab in addition to being fishy was mostly batter.

Beautiful interior design, our server was very efficient, despite how busy he was. The food was great. The flavor and texture was perfect. We had Pork Gyoza, Oysters, Miso soup and Sashimi. Excellent quality fish.

Large variety of options and decent prices. Asian music gives a nice atmosphere and the utensils and napkins are all high quality (no cheap wood chopsticks). Have two large TVs at the sushi bar too. 2 AAC rolls and miso soup were great for the lunch special! Came out to $15 before tip.

Beautiful decoration, service was great and it’s nice to see the floors and table being sticky from the past owners.
