This is the most authentic Japanese I have been in Boston by far. This place has the real Japanese sushi. Also their mini Hokkai don is legitimately good. Their Uni is so fresh and no sigh of bad flavor, very sweet and creamy with no bad smell. Over experience is excellent. And I highly recommend this place for people who love the original maki and sushi.

Some of the most authentic Japanese food I have ever had outside of Japan! The food was delicious. Although the portions are small, the flavor is big, especially with the fish I got. The service was not exceptional, but it was a busy time of day. The food is relatively expensive for the portion size but the overall experience is worth it for authentic food.

The food was great! This menu is more or less dim sum which I like because then you get to try more things. The broiled mackerel was fantastic. The service was slow but we were warned that would be the case when we walked in because a lot of parties were seated at the same time. I will be back!

My girlfriend I went to Shiki spontaneously for a date night. We were sat down immediately, and it seemed that they were short staffed, so the wait for food was around 40 minutes. But we were completely fine waiting, and the food was worth it! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious, and it was very clear that all the ingredients in each dish was good quality and cooked to perfection. The staff were kind, and were very thoughtful/accomodating when I mentioned that I am not a fan of seafood. However, if you are a seafood fan, my girlfriend said that everything she had was tasty! Overall, the experience was very pleasant, and you really can’t go wrong with your order.

I loved my meal! It had delicate flavors, and it was not overly seasoned. Everything balanced well. I highly recommend for anyone missing Japan.

Came here for my birthday dinner. Food was amazing, authentic, and delicious. For dinner they have a bunch of small plates that you can share and try a lot of different things. One favorite was the raw octopus with wasabi; they use fresh real wasabi (as opposed to the green colored horseradish that regular store-bought “wasabi” paste is) which has a sweeter, milder taste and was very nice. We also got the sake flight, which had the pleasant surprise of coming with a piece of salmon sashimi and octopus as palate cleansers. All in all a wonderful experience, and I look forward to coming back.

I agree on the long wait time for our check/food. We felt ignored sitting in the corner. This is not an ‘in and out’ place, be prepared to spend 2 hours if you do want to come here. Food does taste delicious. portion is small, could be good for lunch or light dinner !
