If you’re looking for good fast casual Japanese ramen, this fits the bill. The only reason I didn’t give it more stars is because of the dining area is part of the large “hall of the people” market space (industrial, soulless and a dehumanizing environment) and that the staff did not speak English (only Spanish).

Good little place for Ramen togo. Full of flavor. I got the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. However I’ve never had bean sprouts in a Ramen bowl before which uses it’s authenticity. The noodles were a tad under cooked.

Consistently delicious & pretty quick considering we came at lunch! Excuse the C- photo.

The experience at Shiba ramen was good. The waitress who took my order was a very cheerul young woman who immediately brightens up your day with her quirky style of taking the order. The food is good quality and I had ordered the spicy ramen with an extra portion of noodles. Definitely more than what I’d usually eat for lunch and it filled me up quite quickly. One thing to note was that the spicy ramen was not really spicy for an Indian customer. The broth tasted good. Definitely a must trying you’re around.

$12.50 spicy ramen looks like the ramen to get, and it sure tastes delicious. The noodle isn’t overcooked and still has a bite. You get an entire soft boiled egg, instead of just half like some ramen places. The ground pork is super flavorful. Get it 🙂

This is my to go spot for all this Ramen. I love this marketplace very diverse with food selections. I’ve always wanted to try something new, but why mess with what I like. Shiba Ramen is the bomb.

I pop in periodically to eat here when I don’t want to go to far for a decent bowl of Ramen. It’s not the most prominent tasting Ramen around (Broth) but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I’ve learned to appreciate the very Simple and Clean flavors this place has to offer that many others do not have so I do recommend you give this place a go.

This is inside the Public Market at Emeryville. Got the Spicy Ramen and Gyoza (dumplings) really great ramen, egg perfectly cooked, there are sauces to add additional spice. The public Market is very cute and there is lots of seating to have a quick bite alone or come with friends. The price seemes a bit high, about $14 for just the ramen but again it is good.

A tad overpriced for a single slice of tough pork and an almagamation of noodles served in a paper cup with plastic utensils. The broth was not packed with much flavor, but this could be due to preference. Certainly captured a soup kitchen vibe.

Spicy Ramen is lit. The menu is a bit confusing if you actually eat ramen. If you’ve never been to a ramen restaurant before then it will probably make more sense…what is clear vs. brown soup? A little bit pricey for the portion size (this bowl costs $15 and change after tax… but overall a good ramen spot.
