We were looking for a diner to stop at for lunch and ran into Sherri Lynn’s Diner. We walked in to a very cute diner. We got to choose where we set. The waitress was very prompt taking our drink orders and giving us our menus. There was a very nice variety of choices to pick from. My husband picked the tenderloin with onion rings and I chose the BLT and onion rings. The food came out very quickly, fresh and hot. The tenderloin was huge! The BLT was amazingly fresh out was delicious. The onion rings were perfectly cooked and thick! The waitress came and checked on us several times. Then to our suprise and pleasure the Owner Melissa, whom is also the cook came out to check on us. She said this diner just opened in Jan. It’s doing very well. She was so sweet. The diner got it’s name after her late sister. It was a wonderful experience to know there are still small town diners where the owners care about there guests. If you want great food and experience, you must stop in!

Burgers were okay but nothing special. Fried pickles didn’t have any flavor. Cheesecake was frozen which we weren’t told before we ordered . Service was terrible we were rushed to order, couldn’t get a refill, weren’t checked on, when we asked any questions it was like we were annoying our Server. We needed 3 high chairs and they only had 2. Prices were higher then we expected.

Stopped in while passing through and loved my chicken salad sandwich with cucumber & onion side. If you love supporting local places with really good food & great homemade pies then stop here! They also encourage the sweetest local 97 gentlemen to come in for company and AC during this excessive heat spell. Great people and food. Win win.

Been in the Restaurant Business my whole life! This place is the Real Deal. Melissa, the owner is one hard working, super friendly, scratch cook and baker!! I’ve known hard working people over my lifetime but this woman, is an inspiration. We just pulled off the highway to eat and found her place! Our server, was very welcoming and said sit anywhere. I asked about desserts first, yes I’m that kinda gal! She said the owner makes them from scratch, from her grandmother’s recipes. We immediately ordered the key lime and caramel pecan cheesecakes. Delicious, we ate most of them before our dinners arrived! We had 2 yummy sandwiches with fries. If your on highway 70 in Missouri, get OFF and support Melissa’s DREAM!!!

After a hard long day of driving. A simple dinner is all I ask for. Sherri Lynn’s is a humble place with a hard working crew. I had mushroom and cheese burger that was tasty. Sadly I order french fries and over ate (I will never learn, who really needs the extra calories) because at the check out counter was bread pudding. I took an order back to the hotel, lightly spiced, it was a treat!
