We really enjoyed this place. I had pepperoni pizza and really liked it. They have a house made hot sauce if you want it on the side, and it is pretty hot and tasty (vinegar based, I believe). Our party had: fried pickles, salads, and wraps. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the service was very good (Kyle).

First off I want to say that I’ve been here multiple times and its normally always a great experience. Our waitress was very pleasant and she delt with our group of 8 like a champ with help from who I believe was the manager. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our appetizer wings, granted it was a lot of wings 68 to be exact, but still think that’s maybe a bit too long. I’ve never had bad food here before and the pizza was on point as always. The wings on the other hand, I had a couple long human hairs in my wings and showed the manager when she came around. I worked in the food industry for several years in my early 20’s and was waiting for her to immediately offer a comp or remake another order. She didn’t and tried saying they were maybe chicken hairs and only took the one wing that still had a hair on it with her. So that kind of rubbed me wrong. At the end our waitress was asking how to split the bill and we decided best to just do it all on one to simplify it and that would build in the gratuity. I asked the waitress before combining the bill if she could talk to the manager about doing something about the wings that had hair on them and she said yes of course. When she came back with the total bill I didn’t pay attention if those wings were still on there or not because I figured they did the right thing and comped them or something. This was a big bill and paid the gratuity plus more on top, it was a handsome tip. When I got outside and looked at the receipt…wings were still on there full price. Jokes on me, I try no to be that guy in a restaurant and complain because I know how hard the job can be since I’ve done it myself. Lesson is, be that guy.

You can’t talk about Shenandoah Pizza without talking about downtown Staunton. Stanton has done a great job maintaining the historical character of their downtown area. It is a lovely area with lots of restaurants and other shops. During the spring and summer months the City closes the main street from Friday afternoon until Monday morning creating a pedestrian Mall. A number of restaurants provide outside seating including Shenandoah Pizza. Shenandoah Pizza provides great pizzas at a reasonable price. They do tend to get a little busy which creates some extra wait time. Overall the pizzas have always been great, the service is better than most restaurants these days and the surroundings are pleasant. If you choose to eat at Shenandoah Pizza don’t skip a walk around the downtown area.

Really good food! Gives off a hole in the wall hipster vibe and had live music when we went! Very hip/trendy with unique pizza types. I would definitely recommend the wings.

Visited on a Wednesday Night and it was a bit crowded but we had no wait. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and made my family feel very welcome. I don’t know if we were exhausted for hiking all day or if this truly is the best pizza place in the area but our pizzas were INCREDIBLE! I HIGHLY recommend taking a visit to this gem as it left us wanting to eat their again the next night. The personal pizzas were just enough for each of us, although I probably could have eaten a large by myself it was so good!

Selection of specialty pies is phenomenal. Red sauce, white sauce, EVO and pesto with playful and plentiful toppings. House salads had great greens and additional veggies and larger than expected portions. Desserts equally on point with cannolis, chocolate cake, and more. A great experience with holiday music in the background…ready to go back tmrw. Oh, show your appreciation to the kitchen team with a round of beers… seriously! It is worth the $10. Ho Ho Ho!!

This isn’t my first time coming here for food. Normally we get pizza and an appetizer and split it with the table. However we had 9 people in our group and most didn’t want pizza. I ordered a sub but requested to sub grilled chicken for breaded and asked if I could have it as a wrap instead of a sub. I knew adding fries was a $3 up charge so I assumed my meal would be $15 as the subs and wraps were all $12. The waitress said she would see if I was able to have my request and I told her if not the way it came as a sub would be fine. Never once did anyone explain to me there would be an $8 modification up charge. So a wrap is $12… $15 with fries, a sub is $12… $15 with fries, but if you want your sub to be on a tortilla instead of a roll, and you would like breaded chicken instead of grilled, that will specifically be $26 which BLOWS my mind considering my warm wrap was cold and so were my fries, along with half our tables order. Also, the server was pleasant but the woman who brought our appetizers (cheese fries, fried pickles x2, and wings) was extremely unpleasant. And it didn’t help that our drinks were only refilled once during our 45 minute wait for our food to arrive. I’m disappointed because I’ve not had service and food like this before and we showed up at 6:30pm when they closed at 9 and there were plenty of other tables being waited when we left.

I went a little bit out of my way to stop here on my way through the area and I’m glad I did. I ordered my favorite of sausage, mushroom and artichoke. Order came out quick and the pizza was delicious. I was able to eat almost all of a medium by my self so I would recommend a large for two people.
