Stopped by this place for a late lunch a couple of Saturdays ago. Nothing fancy in terms of decor. It’s a simple roadside kind of place that some would most likely drive right by. Just a few tables and a booth and a short menu on the wall. Had blackened shrimp, slaw, fried green tomatoes, and hush puppies. Everything was homemade and everything was delicious. Hush puppies were some of the best I have ever eaten. Slaw was just made and perfect. Friendly staff and the owner/chef came out and chatted for a while. So few of these one of kind places left. If you’re headed down 81 in east Tennssee stop in a try it.

Oohhh weee! Believe the reviews, this place is delicious! Everything is made from scratch and to order. It’s a quaint little spot right off the interstate. Shari, dies it all, cooks, cleans, cash register, etc. The boudin balls are out of this world. Light, fluffy and stuffed with goodness. Jambalaya is quite tasty as well, but let me tell you about the hushpuppies. They are a little different from the traditional hushpuppies and better! I might add that I don’t even like hushpuppies because they are usually too dense, but hers are fabulous. We got a slice of lemon pie and white chocolate cheesecake to and go. I should have bought the whole lemon pie because it was amazing! For my truck drivers, there’s a marathon and empty lot within walking distance.

This woman can cook! Exceeded my expectations. I had the alligator bites, wonderful. The Cajun chicken tenders my son had were perfection, not dry and stringy like every other place. Real cuts of chicken too. Give this place a try, prices were fair service absolutely excellent atmosphere small but good feel and food will make you wanna camp in the parking lot.

To be fair, I really wanted to love this place. It has a lot of potential but tonight it just didn’t hit the mark. The boudin balls could be excellent but they were icy cold inside. The hush puppies were pretty good but rather small with not much to them. There was no one there but us at 6pm. That alone made us hesitant to dive in to try more food from the menu.

My husband, Leon and I just stopped through for a quick bite. Omg, the food was so delicious and the Chef was simply magnificent. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. The alligator sauce, hush puppies and shrimp PoBoy were perfectly favorable.

Well we read all the reviews and decided to give it a try! Sorry maybe it was an off day, we waited an hour for our fried food platters, I ordered the shrimp platter with fries , the shrimp were inedible they were so salty and cold ! My fries were ice cold and soggy ! My wife had the catfish platter again the food was way over salted she asked for well done fries they were ice cold ,soggy and oily!!

One table of five, one take out, and us, party of two in the place. Took one hour and twenty five minutes to get our food. We actually changed or order to go because of the time. Food wasn’t that good when we finally did get to eat. Sweet tea was soured. Had high hopes for this place but will never go back.

I’ll tell you I’ve been down here eight years and this is some of the best gumbo I had in my life. You will not find a place that makes better catfish anywhere down!!!!!! This is real authentic Cajun food. Kevin and Shari are from baton rouge Louisiana and Mississippi.. I just want to say thank you for the best meal I’ve had since I lived down here!!!!!!!

Absolute best fried Catfish I’ve eaten in 15+ years! Tried the Wife’s blackened Catfish and my Brother’s Gumbo and BOTH were absolutely delicious! Sheri provided amazing service and humble hospitality! This joint is going to be dangerous for my bank account being so close to home! ☆5/5☆ Will be going back soon!
