BAIT AND SWITCH

I just picked up Mandarin chicken. I asked for extra sauce because it’s a little dry and I did not get any. I even asked them did you put extra sauce? Yeah yeah yeah. to dry. I put a picture of the Mandarin chicken on their website. To show I had no sauce or gravy.

Best little secret in Gautier. SuperDelicious food that comes with a precious Chinese waitress / server who is funny,, has a great sense of humor and knows her job real well. The place is clean and very Mom and Pop. My wife and I enjoyed our very casual experience at Shanghai in Gautier Ms.!

They put no sauce in one of ours and they gave us one container of fried rice when we paid for 3 and they gave us half the number of wontons we paid for.

I’d never go out of my way to eat here again. The chicken fried rice was atrocious and the hot and sour soup was bland. The beef lo main was edible but still somehow lacked flavor for being lo main. I also feel like they expected it to be bad with how much soy sauce they put in our bag

Their food is SO delicious. The hot and sour is to die for. We ordered take out last night-the family dinner. When we got it home it was hot and so good. My husband and I have been going to Shanghai for years and have never been disappointed. And we also love their Sunday buffet and hope that will be back soon.

I finally, stopped by to give them a try. Went for dinner, ordered wonton soup, Mongolian beef and the BBQ pork appetizer. Everything tasted fresh and very good. Being from Houston where we have so very many types of good food to choose from, I was pleasantly surprised at just how good my dinner was. The staff was nice, attentive and the place was clean and tidy. Comfortable environment for a meal. I’ll be going back soon!

This restaurant needs to be shut down. What they served was barely edible. The egg rolls were all cinnamon, not shrimp but a greyish-brown substance, and the rice was mixed with who knows what – which was supposed to be shrimp fried rice. The General Tso chicken was watered down, soggy and very rubbery. This was a disgrace and they should be ashamed of themselves for passing this junk off as Chinese food. I’ve been to China and I’d rather take my chances eating street meat over there then eating this again!! 0 stars
