second time here and the food was VERY good. The owner may seem to have an attitude but that’s just how everything works. She’s actually quite nice. I came here for the food so I wasn’t bothered with whether the service is good or not. The whole dinner cost us $68 for 4 people with 5 dishes. They were all very tasty. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you off because this place deserves to have more business. Shout out to the hard working owner too. She was the only one taking care of all the tables but still very helpful. Definitely give this place a try guys!

Amazingly authentic Shanghai cuisine. It’s usually not very busy so you don’t need a reservation. They serve you quickly and the food is very fresh. The soup dumplings are a favorite!

Been coming here for years and I’m unsure who the new waiter was (tattoos on hand) who tried to mandate a tip. And a 20% one at that. He acted like he didn’t understand English but definitely understood $7 off a $35 bill.

Food was delicious! We tried the fried dumplings, the soup dumplings and the Szechuan style pork dumplings.

Great lunch! For around $9 you get a decent dish with rice and soup. They serve tea too. I have to say the quality of this lunch dish at this price is way far exceed the expectation.

DON’T GO if you are not part of the community!!!! They treat you like dirt on the street! We went today to enjoy the food. Some woman with glasses sat us right next to the bathroom in the back, isolating us away from the other patrons! Then they refused to take our order. Instead, they took the orders of 3 other groups of Chinese customers to our disappointment. We finally got up and left. I even stated that were leaving based on our treatment. They couldn’t have cared less!!! If you do not live in Chinatown or are of Chinese descent, DO NOT GO!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE AND INCREDIBLY RUDE!!! Try Bao and other classy restaurants in the East Village. The service is lovely as are the staff. And the food is AMAZING!

Soup dumplings (pork) were dry in their tips. Pork mass was not special.

The food and lunch menu value is good. Unfortunately the woman manager/ owner at the register is miserable and surly. She acts as though she is doing you a favor by selling to you. Not even a thank you. No need to buy here, there are so many good options. Take your business elsewhere!
