Terrible! I had food from them before and it was good, then about 9 months ago and my shrimp was spoiled to the point of me not being able to eat it. So I gave them another try today and the shrimp were Terrible! I called and requested a refund and they won’t only exchange my food and not give me a refund! Which is bs! They don’t have to worry about me as a customer and I will definitely spread the word about this terrible establishment!

I’ve been ordering food from Shang Hai since 2007 and will not continue after tonight’s experience. I found hair in my fried chicken and egg fried rice combo. When I called a female employee asked “Your hair or my hair?” then said “cause you know American hair different from ours.” I have a bold head! After returning and requesting a full refund, the lady said she will only refund 1 out of 3 combo’s. I wasn’t going to leave a review until the said employee/owner pretended to call the police when my girlfriend came in to explain why she didn’t trust eating any of the food. We’ve decided to call the police and they stated it was a civil matter. Lesson learned and Eat Here at your own risk! This establishment needs to work on their customer service for starters. I’m a firm believer of supporting small businesses and anyone with enough dignity to pull themselves by the boot straps per say. After observing other establishments remolding and trying to maintain clean sanitary locations all over America during a Pandemic, this restaurant here is Failing.

AWFUL! New to the area and picked up takeout for dinner. They use cheap tin containers and the food had the most good awful metallic taste. I had sweet and sour chicken and my husband had sesame chicken and we both spit out our food after one bite!!! Change your food container supplier or you will lose business. Disgusting!!!

I never have a problem with shanghai’s chicken wings they’re always fresh good crispy my one problem is with the egg drop soup and has such a thick and yellowish look it’s unpleasant to the eyes and very thick I wish the chef would change the recipe for the egg drop soup. This item for sure I won’t be purchasing in the future.

Customer service has GREATLY improved since the young man took over the front!!! Ordering over the phone is much more pleasant. I’ve always loved the food. My husband and I have been ordering here for about 15 years and just got used to the lady before. But now we are extreamly happy to spend our money here!!
