We liked this place a lot. We ordered three appetizers, pork egg rolls, fried pork dumplings and fried tempura. Our favorite was the fried pork dumplings. The dipping sauce was delicious! The tempura was really good, too. The pork egg rolls were okay but not the best I’ve ever had. The sweet and sour sauce was too sweet and there was no sour.

I am very happy to have another good, authentic Chinese restaurant in Lakeway. The dishes are decent value because you do get a lot for the price. Everyone in our party likes what they ordered. We will definitely be back for dine in & take outs!

Good fresh food with authentic flavors, my only complaint would be their Chef is a little heavy handed with the garlic and cooking oil.. i’ll definitely be back. I want to try their duck.

After just finishing a conversation with my partner about our desire for GOOD Chinese food, we found this place! The food looked exactly like the photos in the menu. We were very pleased with the service, the place was clean, and the staff even offered us suggestions. After ordering several dishes we will 100% be making this a weekly stop. Excellent addition to Lakeway’s restaurant scene.

Shan is an authentic Chinese restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience from start to finish. The menu boasts a variety of delicious dishes, each packed with flavor. The Mongolian beef stands out, and the chicken lo mein noodles are a satisfying choice. The braised eggplant with garlic and chili offers savory flavors. And the fish in chili oil was a crowd favorite with its texture and mildly spicy kick.

Excellent Szechuan style Chinese food with non-spicy options! They just opened, and their food and service is amazing! We tried their Mixed Vermicelli, their Beef and Broccoli, and their Fried Redfish dish (they had bass today so we substituted). They also gave us some homemade egg rolls to trial which were the best we’ve ever had and we’ve eaten Chinese food regularly in Houston’s Chinatown! The fish was super fresh and the meat and vegetables were tender and perfectly done. Food was light and not too heavy. The shrimp fried rice was so tasty! We’ll definitely be back soon!

It’s real Chinese cuisine , not American-Chinese style, taste just like you eat in China, and prices are reasonable. I like it, definitely will come back!
