The tender smoked brisket sliced thinly, served with crisp pickle chips was great but the ribs were amazing. Some of the best ribs west of the Mississippi. The dirty rice was also prepaired nicely, spicy slaw went well with the brisket. The beans were an interesting twist of sweet and savory with just a hint of spice that paired well with the cold IPA.

Such an experience!! Such good food–everything we had was fantastic!! There was definitely a wait, but it’s so worth it!! People were friendly & nobody seemed upset with the line–which moved fairly quickly, considering how long it was!! EAT AT JOE’S!!!

Excellent BBQ. Can’t wait to go back. Service great we had ribs, brisket, sausage. Had baked beans and Mac and cheese for sides. Ribs were the best I have had in the Kansas City area.

The food was excellent and the service was, too. I’ve never been clear why the ordering line is so long (weakest link), but our food was prepared in 2-3 minutes after ordering, we ate, and the bus boy had our table cleared by the time we reached the door. The meal cost felt high by $2-3 per person, but that’s probably just insufferable inflation. We’d recommend and will be back!
