Shalimar is great! It’s one of our go tos, we decided to check out the Sacramento location and we’re so glad we did! We ordered the garlic naan, karahi gosht, butter chicken, tandoori chicken and goat biriyani! Each dish tasted very authentic, good proportions, flavorful and delicious!!

Shalimar Grill food is better than Shalimar Restaurant. Chicken Shish Kabob feels like eating rubber band needs improvement. Chicken leg is delicious and green chutney definitely makes taste it better.

Placed an order through their Doordash link, arrived on time for pickup. At the restaurant I was told they never received my order and asked me to cancel my online order and order there instead. Didn’t let me know that their in-restaurant prices were nearly double what they have listed on their online menu and Doordash. When I told the attendant she should find whoever is in charge of their online pricing and have it corrected, she responded with “that’s not my job”. Won’t be returning here or placing any more online orders.

The rating is 4 stars because my husband loves it. He rates it a 10 out of 5 and says it’s the best Indian food he ever ate. In the past week and half he’s eaten there 3 times! I say it’s a 2-3 because everything is too spicy and the meat dishes are more like a soup than a meat dish and a little oily.

Homemade! Don’t be in a hurry for your dinner. Each meal is freshly made except for the sauces. Found this gem on the opposite side of Sac county. In area for an event.

Shalimar Grill is the best Indo-Pak restaurant in Sacramento. Great great great food quality. Super excellent service. Chef Sajad is the best. Jawad Haider beat the excellence in service and guest care. We will come to this place at every opportunity to eat outside. It’s a great place for dine in, small parties for about 150-180 people, and they do have a great catering menu at affordable rates.

Me and friend of mine went first time yesterday and we were amazed by the taste and customer service. We ordered couple of different dishes and not a single dish disappointed us.

After eating in so many places for authentic pakistani food. Finally found shalimar grill. If you close your eyes and eat their food you will feel like you are eating in pakistan. Ordered chicken biryani, cholay and butter chicken. The food was just amazing cooked with heart. Not sure why are people giving 4 star may be they dont know what pakistani food is because indian food is different in taste from pakistani food. The staff was amazing also.
