I met up with friends for lunch here. The set up is different than a lot of places. It is a full service restaurant, but you are ordering from a kiosk. They have burgers, hot dogs and other types of sandwiches. I liked that they had gluten free buns and posted allergens. The employees are very attentive to keep the place clean and making sure guest are getting the best experience. The food was good, I couldn’t leave without having a shake. The chocolate vanilla- malted was rich and creamy. It is one of those things (shake) that you just enjoy and don’t think twice about the calories. We drove over an hour to come to the Shake Shack, it was worth the drive.

It’s ok. I ordered well done double shack burger and 6 pieces chicken. Burger was medium and the chicken does not have a unique taste. There is no varieties of hot or different sauce options after you get the meal. For this price they should be cooking better taste, offering several tasty sauces. Most of other competing burger joints have much better price-value equation.

Frankly I wanted Burger King, but it seems Shake Shack took over the building (haven’t been to this side of town in a while). I went in because I was starving and didn’t want to keep driving, and I had heard the hype about this place.

I came in to order and Colin greeted me. He was very friendly and made the experience the best it has ever been. We also love Laurie and her smile every time we see her. This store is filled with amazing leadership and good attitude. It is a most every time we drive past it(which is every day since we live a couple minutes away).

We don’t have Shake Shack anywhere close to our hometown (or anywhere else we’ve traveled), so we’ve never visited, but there is a lot of hype surrounding it, so we decided to visit while in the area. Location: This location’s decor was cute and modern, and it was nice and tidy (clean is always a positive!). Food: I got the Shack Stack, which has the cheese-stuffed fried mushroom on top. Worth the hype?? Well, it was a good burger, no doubt, but -in comparison to In-N-Out and Whataburger- it’s not my favorite. It’s also quite pricey. My son and I ate for just over $30. I will add, though, the fries satiated! Super crispy and well-salted. He loved his cookies and cream shake, too. Service: The cashier was super nice. They did mess up my order (forgot the mushroom), but corrected it without hassle, however, when they corrected it, my burger was returned quite messy. I’d give the whole experience about a 6 to 7 out of 10.

The food is very good when comparing to other fast food chains. That being said, it should be considering a burger, shake and fries is over $20. We had 5 people in our group, each got a burger and shake, and we got 2 regular fries and 1 loaded fry to share and 1 large diet coke. The bill was $117. We could have eaten at a steakhouse ordering cheaper steaks or ribs for that amount.

So I am torn about whether Shake Shack is good or overrated. The burgers are good, and they have a clean fast casual atmosphere, but are they good enough to justify the over $100 I spent to feed 5 people burgers, fries, shakes, and fountain drinks?? (My clan had either a shake or a drink…not both.) I ordered my fries with cheese and bacon, which was way too rich and actually ruined the crinkle fries (which are nothing special to begin with). Plus they made the burger seem that much heavier and fattier. I think, in the future, for a fast food place, I’d choose 5 Guys which runs us about $75 for the equivalent, and if I wanted a restaurant burger place I’d choose Hop Doddy which would be about the same price, but with a much more gourmet menu.

Our first time trying the new location…I’m so glad they opened a Shake Shack in Alpharetta. We were able to walk in and order at the kiosk right away and our food was out just shortly after. The food was just as delicious as I remember it being.

The quality was okay. Definitely not worth the price for what you get. One of the burgers was barely cooked and the other was cooked well done. The patty’s are like non existent. Like this was not a meal. Maybe a snack.
