Was driving upstate from Queens and decides to stop here on the way as it was one of the only Halal places up north of the city. It wasn’t a bad choice, I’ve had Shahs in the City and it tastes similar to what you would get at carts in the city. Also the price is very affordable and portions are decent. Family tried the Philly cheese steak, lamb gyro and chicken & lamb over rice. I tasted everything and the rice dishes are superior to the others in my opinion. This chain is more authentic then halal guys for sure and I hope they can keep that authenticity as they expand. Still can’t beat the carts but this is worth the price and tastes better then other chains trying to take cart food and making it into sit down restaurants across the country.

I love this place, especially since Halal Guys (and the Galleria for that matter) closed, but I cannot ignore the fact that I found a hair in my food when I was finishing my last few bites. It made me sick to my stomach and honestly, I don’t know if I’ll ever go back.

I guess Customer service is not one of their missions. We bought a $8 sauce, which was open and SPOILED. You would think considering the unsafeness of selling open products, would be a condition in which you get a refund. But nope, they would not give us our money. You could tell from the bottle that none was used, as we did a taste test using our finger which isn’t large enough to show a decrease in product. You could smell the rancidness that we only ended up smelling it and not actually consuming it. Very disappointing that for something so easy that is alarming, did not get handled the correct way. Due to this experience, unfortunately, we will not be returning to Shah’s Halal. They have lost us as a customer this evening.

I use to go to the Halal food in the galleria mall but then they closed it down in February . Then one day, I came across this Halal food. Man oh man I was blown away by the quality and consistency of the food . The owner is a pleasant guy which is a plus. He makes sure the customers are satisfied and most important he cares. It’s evident in the way he runs his establishment.
