I shop here for groceries later found that they have food takeout so wanted to give it a try, ordered for lunch take out combo meal. I went for the goat Curry ,chicken makhani and kabob served with basmati rice and two naans. First of all, the packing was well done. It also came with onions, lemon and tomato, mint chutney, and Rita. First, I started off with chicken sheek kabob it was packed with a lot of flavors and cooked to the right tenderness, and I moved on to the naan. Even after 30 minutes of drive, It was still soft and paired very well with the Curry’s. Rice was definitely a bonus. Rice went well with both the curries, and it’s definitely worth the price and perfect taste and the sizeable portion. They do have a lot of combos available to order and also off the menu items. This place also serves fresh cut meat and chicken. They definitely know cooking and will always try it again. Don’t miss this place!!

Worst food experience except the front desk staff. I ordered around 8 pm and asked to stop by after 30 min. I went sharp 8.30 and waited for 15 min to get my food. I don’t mind waiting and have been going to this shop from the beginning. The worst part is food I got today. I ordered garlic naan, plain naan, chicken sheek kebab. Garlic naan was burnt and tasted bitter. Plain naan no complaint. Chicken kabab is the worst of all, most of them were uncooked or not fully cooked, Some are burnt and tasted bad. If I had time I would have gone back to store and returned their food. The chef who prepared the kebab does not care and I even got the alumnium foil in one kebab (luckily it came to mine instead of kids). The staff who takes bill and card was nice, welcoming and greets me. But some how today I really felt I should have thrown my money in the trash instead of buying the food here. food is going to be trashed and not able to enjoy the food. My initial intention was to give good review , hence took the photo of shop , menu , etc but after tasted today’s food I reduced 4 star.

I arranged last minute surprised party for my sister’s birthday, I called SHAGUN PALACE AT 10am and requested him if they can arrange 6 differently varieties of food for 30 people by 1:00 pm on same day. I was so worried about the time and taste because of last minute call, but when I reached the Shagun and taste the food I was very happy, and all my guests in the party enjoyed the food and took the contact information of the restaurant from me, I am very confident from now on all my family parties and special occasions and my family friends occasion will definitely order catering from Shagun. I am so thankful to the store for providing me best taste and quality food for my party. Excellent taste, Excellent service, fresh and hot, best quality, Awesome quantity.

EDIT: After years of growing culturally and reflecting upon myself as a person, I take back my previous one-star review. I am so deeply sorry to Shagun Palace. I am from a very rural part of NEPA, and I had a very inaccurate idea of what authentic cultural meals looked like back when this review was written. Since then, I have traveled the world, learned new languages, and met amazing people. I have been back to Shagun Palace many times afterwards and it is always fantastic, and the staff is super kind. I will leave my original review below as a homage to my humility, and all I ask to people before they post something negative is… have I been to this country? Do I know someone from this country? Do I trust my eyes, among the billion of eyes in the world? Do I trust my tongue, among the billion of tastebuds in the world, to tell me what a good meal is?
