We drive more than an hour to have dinner at Shady Grove. We are never disappointed. Great food, terrific service (thanks Abby) and owners (Bridget and Shane) dedicated to delivering a wonderful experience. Not a bad combination.

The food was excellent other than my sides of wild rice and sweet potatoes were cold. The entrées were excellent and servers were great. Atmosphere was cozy and not loud. Small and quaint, make reservations. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Bridget is off the charts the best host around. Emma is super attentive and the utmost professional. The Walleye surpassed any New York City restaurant. I have to give them 7 stars! I’ll be back.

We had reservations for 6:00. No one told me we had a time limit when I made reservations. Got to the table and were told we had an hour. . Placed our order. Got our order with 15 minutes to eat. The owner came over and told us 7. We questioned if we only had 15 minutes to eat? ( I had major stomach surgery and it takes me time to eat..)Then she changed it to 7:30 but by that time we had quickly inhaled our food. She was extremely rude, including touching me. Then called me crazy, I told her not to touch me. She told me not to come back but my husband was welcome (not sure if she was coming into him??). I had my card out to pay for the meal, she then crumples up the check and throws my card at me.

Excellent spot if you want an incredible meal. We are addicted. Best Prime Rib around. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We really appreciate the attention to detail in the food and their use of high quality ingredients. HUGE fan of what they are doing here.
