Good menu variety. I had the crepes – they were a little thick but still good. We also had a skillet – the potatoes were perfectly crispy, pretty good as well. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean. I would recommend stopping in!

Had the waitress tell us it’d be an hour ½ before we could get seated & our food served. I guess the manager, at the time, told us to take a seat. We were served within half hour. Only issue I had was with that older waitress. Big helpings on the food & reasonable prices!

The breakfast menu is pretty typical for a cafe in a small town, which isn’t a bad thing at all. Our food was excellent and came out quickly. Friendly service and the place was more spacious than I had anticipated. Great prices for the amount of food you get, too. We’ll be back!

Stopped on way home from a weekend road trip, first time being here. Food was amazing, we had the meat lovers omelet and fried egg sandwich! Food came out perfectly cooked, restaurant clean, and staff was nice!

This place is a local stop for me and I stop in whenever possible. The food is always good, and the service and atmosphere are great. I have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner over all the times I have stopped in and it is all great with lots of options for everyone.

Biggest best omelet I’ve ever had. Fabulous spicy oily American fries. I was surprised at the size of the cafe and impressed by the two U-shaped sit-at counters. Excellent friendly service (few customers at the time). One photo is the alignment of wind turbines with the main street of Shabbona. Shabbona also is a train watchers haven. The is a nice state park nearby as well. Bring a small boat or fishing pole.

First time here, and we had dinner. The fried mushrooms were pretty decent. The batter was a little lighter as far as fried mushrooms go, which I liked. I also got the macho burger, with an extra patty. Unfortunately, the patties didn’t have much flavor, and the jalapenos didn’t have any heat to them. Overall quite underwhelming.

I bought 2 meals one for dinner. I would have to say most things are pre made .. I had there O’Brian. That was a pre.made patty. I used a lo of salt and pepper too.i took home the cat fish and I’m throwing it away …

Was so excited to come here and we waited for 15 minutes and not a single server got to us. It wasn’t even that busy. Right when I thought I was gonna get served, one of the ladies sat down and just went on her phone, we ended up walking out because that was ridiculous and honestly rude. No one said a word to us except for the hostess at the front,
