Sfoglia fell one Artic Char, one lettuce salad, and some minutes of slow service away from 5 stars.

Nice atmosphere and very good service but ultimately restaurants are about the quality of the food served and it really is not better than adequate. Pasta dish I ordered was very bland and none of the vegetables tasted like it was the height of summer. I have had much better meals than this at its price point. Space is at least very nice and all the staff out front are great.

Sfoglia restaurant is a decent choice if you’re looking for Italian food, but don’t expect to be wowed.

I’ve dined here more than once over the last few years and the food is always very good. The service however is excellent. From the bussers to the servers to the hostess, wonderful experience top to bottom. You can go a lot of places in this city with good/great Italian, but you can only go so many places these days with great service. This is one of the few I’ve found. Highly recommended.

The food and service was good, although that should be a given considering the cost. The food was very rich and large, and I regret not starving ourselves before the meal in order to enjoy it better (and not waste so much). The bread pudding dessert is worth it.

A bit hard to find. Overpriced food with poor quality. We ate at the bar. Ordinary Italian spot with extraordinary prices. So so vibes. The bartender lacks personality and charm. Hey if you are in a customer facing hospitality job – at least smile instead of that surly look (which is why the 4 stars). Hope to return for the food.

September 2020. I live across the street and this was my 1st time to dine here in 4 years. Wonderful! Great waiter, delicious food… will return. Caesar salad, gazpacho, tagliatelle *fab* and Sfoglia’s chicken. Key lime pie to finish.

It’s ok, but not the five-star restaurant many consider it to be, especially for the prices charged. In addition, the menu on Open Table is years old and the prices are no where near the prices today. Main Courses are about $10 Higher ($34 – 50) and side dishes about $7 higher at $16. Cocktails are $18, a nice cabernet was $17.

By far the best best bolognese I have ever have is made here. The fresh made bread with olive oil is delicious, the staff is very professional and attentive, the food is made to taste and the decor makes you feel as if you were sitting in a local restaurant in Italy. This is definitely a must for both New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers. At the end of our meal we were given complementary limonccelo to end the night with a bam. I would definitely recommend this place.
