Sette has been around for eons for DC, this is where we had our very first date 20 yrs ago. Over the years this establishment has retained consistency in creating delicious Italian cuisine. The ingredients are always fresh, the portions are ample, and the taste reminds me of what my friends nonna made when we visited. It’s a nice casual vibe w some upscaleness to it. At moment, it’s going through some major interior renovations so your options are Al fresco, period. Albeit, this is a place I’m glad it’s survived the many times of DC.

Came here for dinner on a Friday evening. Although the dining room was under construction so they had outdoor seating. Luckily the weather was nice enough to sit outside with heaters. The food was great, the service could get a bit better, it seemed like there was 2 servers for the whole outdoor service.

Years ago when I first moved to DC, this was my go to place. There were fewer options for good food back then. I tried Sette again last night and it was just as I remembered. I ordered my previous favorite dish Scialatelli. It was a little goopy but not bad. Same with my friend’s bolognese. The outdoor seating is fantastic. They’re undergoing a renovation right now so there’s no indoor seating. It’s a great neighborhood restaurant. I live a 20 minute walk away so it’s just far enough away that I don’t frequent DuPont circle restaurants. But if you’re around Dupont and need an easy option, this place does the job.

When my friends and I went to this place around March 23rd we had an absolute joy eating here. The food is great and probably the best lamb shank risottos I’ve ever had.

Our party consisted of three 11 year olds, and two single moms in their forties. Two of the children had a plain cheese pizza (margherita minus the basil), another had spaghetti and meatballs, one adult had gluten free spaghetti with Bolognese, and the other had fettuccine with Bolognese.

This is a solid place for drinks or dinner. The happy hour is great – $8 cocktails, $7 apps (depending on which you get), $12 pizzas… perfect for a few drinks and a light dinner. The food is always good – not the best of the best, but very tasty. I haven’t had a bad dish in my multiple visits. Love the fried zucchini app.

Great brunch experience. Food was good and the bottomless mimosas for 20 dollars is a crazy good deal in DC. Maura was a fantastic server and prompt with refills and very funny. Would absolutely come back here.

This is a solid restaurant with some flaws. Penne all‘Arrabiata were spicy and fine, would‘ve been a 4-star, but the pizza was bad. The salami was sus and didn‘t taste good and then the mozzarella… it was as accumulated as wealth is in the world. I actually had to rebalance it myself in order to save this pizza. But the mass of ingredients thrown on this poor little piece of dough was too much for the bottom and it started soaking. Wasn‘t a nice ending.

Ordered the chef special crab cake sandwich…it came with the thinnest, least crab meat crab cake I’ve ever had. Super mediocre. Service wasn’t great. Didn’t refill drinks promptly. The, after giving us our proper bill, they ran the credit card on a *different* bill that was $50 higher.

The food was excellent. The service was incredibly slow. Worst of all was the terrible cold as they did not have area heaters as other restaurants do. When we were leaving I saw that one table had requested a heater. It was not offered to us. So if you go, ask for one! The noise level in the outdoor seating area was another equally bad problem. Though the food was delicious (ravioli) I could only give 2 stars due to the noise, slow service, and lack of attention to providing heaters. On a positive note, the espresso/ice cream desert was fantastic.
