I hate to give bad reviews but I was very disappointed in Serena’s today. I ordered the honey bbq salmon with yams, and mac & cheese. The yams were good, the mac was ok, but the salmon was terrible. They chopped the salmon up in a overbearing bbq sauce and just from the appearance alone I was very disappointed. I should have went with my gut and ordered the whiting or regular chicken wings. I do not suggest anyone ever get the honey bbq salmon. Honestly the yams saved this platter — plus they need a better system to keep up with the orders. I would say like a numbering system, because if more than one person places the same order then no one knows who’s order is up. If the orders were numbered the worker could call out that particular number to make sure everyone gets their correct food.

One of the best restaurants in town very pleasant Serena’s food is fresh made to order (so be mindful she even offers online ordering) I come here often and the service is unmatched still very consistent with when they had the food truck I must say you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu

I was very disappointed because they had such great reviews. I ordered the bbq salmon and fries. Upon receiving my food the salmon was shredded and extremely dry(full pieces are shown in picture) which made it very difficult to enjoy and the fries were not seasoned at all. The only positive I can say about my experience is the food was hot and the bbq sauce tastes good.

It was good.. period. My taste buds are so picky & it’s frustrating. So with mixed reviews I wasn’t sure if I was going to be wasting my money or not. I took a chance and was very satisfied. The first time I got fish, Mac & yams. Today I got crab balls (2) with Mac & yams. The Mac was real Mac not like the Kraft mess & the yams gave me diabetes which means they were awesome I only did one less star because the crab had a few shells in it but not life threatening Keep pushing! Your hard work is paying off & it shows ♥️

Has never disappointed. Great service….I mean sweet people…very calm. Service oriented staff. Food never disappoints!!! Normally get the fish or chicken. Always fried to perfection. Everything is always fresh. I love the sides. Never too sweet or too salty so you can actually enjoy the flavor of the food not just seasoned to death. Perfect for lunch or dinner any day of the week. You must try it! I highly recommend.

I’d rate the food 4.5* which rounds up to 5. Had the fried whiting fish platter with apple yams and mac and cheese. The fish was nice and crispy and the breading had a great flavor. The apple yams were just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The mac and cheese was decent but not amazing.

First two times I went to Serena’s, I knew the fish was going to be good and had No worries at all. This time around was different. The fish didn’t taste the same. The fish had a taste of bad oil, the Seafood salad made the person I recommended to vomit multiple times. I hope this was a miss because I love Serena’s.

Please support and get your own judgement. The fish was amazing amazing amazing!! The best fried fish I’ve had in a whileee. The collard greens could have been cooked down a little little bit more and not soo much vinegar. But definitely tolerable. The Mac wasn’t MaciN. Decent food.
