Great ingredients make great food. Based on an authentic approach to Italian cuisine, Serafina goes the extra mile (literally!) to source the very best ingredients from around the world.
Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato were already good friends when they became unexpectedly lost at sea. Stranded in a small boat, exposed to the elements, and without any food, they daydreamed of the perfect pizza. To strengthen their hopes of surviving, both promised that they would open a restaurant together serving the best Italian pizza and pasta in the world. Vittorio and Fabio were saved, and they honored their promise to each other by launching the highly acclaimed Serafina Fabulous Pizza on 79th Street on the Upper East Side in New York City in 1995.
Pizza & traditional pastas plus brunch at an outpost of a local Italian chain with sidewalk seating. Based on 272 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.2 stars. Price $$

Very good, but not great Italian Restaurant. Located in the heart of the White Plains business district, this eatery has a large variety of traditional Italian fare, but none that we tried that passed the “Wow” factor. We started with the Meatballs as an appetizer. We then had the Spaghetti a la Vodka and the Chicken Milanese. All of these items were tasty, but were not memorable. In fact, my chicken, although presented well, was a bit dry. The service was very friendly, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the prices were reasonable. Although, I’m not a fan for being charged for an additional round of a diet coke. If you want a solid, but unspectacular Italian Restaurant, then Serafina is a good choice.

So delicious! First pic is Al Pacino with the homemade fettuccine, second is the mushroom risotto with shrimp. Also easy in and out for a quick meal.

Wonderful, neighborhood restaurant. Pleasant, friendly service. Attentive but not intrusive. Delicious Caesar salad and spinach ravioli. Homemade and fresh – pasta was delicate, not heavy. Would definitely return.

Nice, clean restaurant with attentive staff. Fabulous Italian cuisine with standard dishes…cooked to perfection. Nice views of Main St. and the fountain ⛲️ if you can be seated closer to the windows.

We love Serafina! My husband and I have enjoyed pizza and pasta in both White Plains and Manhattan. The quality of foods are so good and the pizza and this pasta are the best I have ever!! We had great time yesterday with my sister who visited my town from abroad. Highly recommend here

My family & I walked into Serafina on July 4th about 6:40 pm for dinner. We did not have a reservation, but there were quite a few empty tables so it did not appear to be an issue. The hostess walked us to a table near an empty booth. I asked if we could sit at the booth and with an attitude she responded, “Sorry that table is for 5 people, and we have reservations.” Really? Right next to this empty booth was another booth occupied by a family of 4 ( 2 adults & 2 children). My husband and sons are over 6 feet tall & whenever possible we ask for a booth because it is more comfortable. I was taken aback by her response since there were so many empty tables. We have eaten here before and have always had a great experience, including the accommodation of a booth request. Any restaurant is free to refuse a customer a specific table, just as we are free to decide to spend our money at a restaurant that is more accommodating. So we left and walked over to The Columbian House where we had an amazing experience. Quick and friendly service and delicious food. About an hour or so later we finished dinner and walked past Serafina’s, and saw the requested booth still empty and a different family of four sitting in the booth that had been occupied when we were there. I won’t bother to try to guess why this hostess would behave this way, since clearly the booth went unoccupied and she had no problem sitting other families of four in another booth. But she actually did us a favor, because we really enjoyed our meal at The Colombian House without feeling disrespected!! But she cost the owners money and future business. Shame on the hostess, if she did this to us I’m sure she has done it to others.

The croissants at Cafe Serafina are heavenly. From the classic buttery croissants to the tantalizing flavors like almond and chocolate, each bite was a delightful experience. They were flaky, buttery, and simply irresistible.

Cafe Serafina’s egg and cheese on a fresh croissant roll is a breakfast delight. The combination of perfectly cooked eggs, melted cheese, and the buttery croissant roll made for a delicious morning treat.

Our family had a great meal here. I had the branzino and my wife had a special (chicken and eggplant with light marsala sauce). Both were delicious. Kids had the margherita pizza and penne. They liked their meals. Tiramisu, chocolate gelato, and lemon sorbet were all delicious. Staff was great, friendly and helpful. In European style they didn’t bring the bill until we asked for it.
