Super place to have a nice, healthy lunch or dinner. Good upgrade from Subway. However, the prices are a little steep. But definitely, the sandwiches are fantastic as well as their soups. The portions they serve are very healthy in quantity. For a family of 4 or 5 it can get pricey.

Sequoia and Sequoia-to-go always seem to be on the level with a great sandwich. What makes them the best sandwich shop in Bakersfield is that they put the same attention to detail in all their small items that they do the sandwiches. The macaroni salad is some of the best in Bakersfield and their regular salads including chef salad are wonderfully put together with great attention to detail. The containers that the macaroni comes in seems to be reusable, and the employees are always pleasant. I would strongly recommend the hot ham sandwich with avocado added, and don’t forget a rice crispy treat they’re delicious and enormous

Fast-forward three years! I’m taking away my five-star and giving a one-star! They don’t even bother to spread tuna on your sandwich, they just plop it down with the scooper! Plus they didn’t bother putting mayonnaise on my BLT two weeks before! Is that how they build their own sandwiches if they eat? I think not! Really good food, everything is fresh! They have online ordering and you can select to pay online or in person. This helps a lot as they are always busy and sometimes it takes some time to get your food. Also if there are any questions with your order or if they need to make substitutes they will call you at the number you provide while ordering online.
