First time coming here and definitely will be coming back. This is definitely one of the best Korean restaurants in Portland. It’s small cozy and the food & service is on point. Their stew is just delicious and filled with flavor!

This local Korean gem is located in an upcoming Southgate food hub. This has been tested by time and survived the pandemic. The food is delicious. Especially the Japchae it’s not dry at all. The bulgogi is sweetly seasoned to perfection. 10/10 highly recommend

The food was outstanding. I had to take half of it home because it was so much. They serve a good amount of delicious palette cleansers. The service was very fast and we will be back the next time we are in the area.

This is not the high brow Korean restaurant you’re looking for, but it is a good and a basc example of Korean food. When trying a new Korean restaurant, I always order the Bulgogi and Soju, it’s the same as ordering a Burger and fries with a beer at anywhere USA. The first promising sign was that I not only got a healthy plate of thinly shaved and cooked meat, but I was also surrounded by a collection of sides. Each side is a tasty little bit of contrasting flavour to the Bulgogi, which you eat together. At first you may think that there are not enough sides for a sampling with every bite of meat, but I soon discovered that it was the perfect ratio of sides to meat. And yes, there is also a small bowl of rice. The food price was not a surprise, but the small bottle of Soju was twice the price of the liquor store. To put that in American, you’re talking about a 9-10 $ Budweiser. OK, confession time. A bottle of Soju is really a 2 person ordeal, so I was feeling a little glutinous. I would not say that this was Korean fine dinning, but they don’t pretend to be anything other than a Korean diner, and for that I have a lot of respect for the food they serve.

Great Korean food for reasonable price. Haemul pajeon has good amount of seafoods and not oily, can’t go wrong with shrimp fried rice, the tofu stew combo is a great value and entree comes with banchan (Korean side dishes). Next time I have to see if they would make the Maeun Dwaeji Bulgogi extra spicy for us . They offers several selections of Korean beer and spirits. Wanted to try them but I have to drive home. Social distancing and safety precautions are observed.
