Authentic Mexican cuisine in a casual atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring you your food when it’s ready. The tamales are OUTSTANDING and the authentic tacos (cilantro and onions on soft corn tortillas) are very good. Hard shell tacos with lettuce and cheese is Tex-Mex style. All of the food I have ever gotten here has been very good except the refried beans and rice which was just OK. I would stay away their refried beans and rice (which are separate and not a good value anyway at $1.95 each) but ordering anything else on the menu should be fine. Cheers!

So I came here today , and my food came out , I was excited and pleased by how it looked . As I began to eat, I still had no complaints . However , they had little bugs flying everywhere . One landed in my food, of course I was turned off and upset . The “kitchen manager” came out in a rude manner asking me “what’s the issue” . I stated there was a bug on my food . He then went on to say “yeah but it didn’t happen back there it happened up here” . I was disturbed by the comment because regardless if it happened in the back or the front , there is still bugs flying around your establishment and has now gone in my food ! He tried to make me a new salad -_-. I will be calling the health department as well because that is disgusting and clearly it’s no issue to them. I am so not pleased with this place .

I cried with joy eating these tamales. These are my abuela’s quality. Bertha Rivas, Nana Maria and Nana Lenor all cooking and laughing in the kitchen for two days. That’s what these taste like. I will be back every single time I’m in Charlotte.

This place is my favorite spot for authentic Latin cuisine after getting burned out on several others in the “little latina” corridor on South Blvd (L’Empira, Taqueria Mexico, etc). The enchiladas are my fave however the pork used in the tamales looks and tastes like it came out of a can ☹️

The chicken tacos had a interesting twist in flavor being Latin vs Mexican but still tasted very good! The only reason for the 4 stars is due to service, it is non existent. So don’t expect to be greeted or anything when you walk in but if the tacos are going to taste the way that they do it’s ok. I will definitely bring giving them another go
