The food here is phenomenal. We loved the crab bisque, the fried seafood, and the crab stuffing was fantastic. Everyone was really nice. Our only complaint was just that the place wasn’t packed, yet it was SO loud and the service was just okay. Otherwise, we would go back just for the food and get takeout.

Our waitress was wonderful, she was so polite to explain things to us when we had questions and helped manage our special orders!!! Highly recommend the sweet tea (she made herself), the hush puppies, the wings, the french fries, the grilled shrimp plate, and their crab bisque. Everything was delicious and we loved their decor.

Seaside Bar & Grill, situated on the tranquil St. Helena Island, provides a unique dining experience with a fair share of surprises. The most notable one was the Sunday-only brunch menu, a detail not mentioned on their website, leading to some disappointment as I had been looking forward to their recommended fried shrimp, which is not served during brunch.

First off, when I walk in a restaurant and there are several servers gathered near the hostess stand, I would like to be greeted. That didn’t happen. However, we were promptly seated and waited on so that was a better start. Staff was friendly and food was fantastic! We had the calamari, fried shrimp and fried grouper and everything was very well prepared. Even the sides were very good and the cocktail and tartar sauces were outstanding! Best seafood we had in this area and would definitely go back.

It was very disappointing. When we first came in and seated there was a commotion in the other room which resulted in service being delayed 10 minutes. We ordered coconut shrimp and crab bisque, after the 4 coconut shrimp arrived with a nice sauce, we were informed they were out of the bisque. The fish special was tilapia. My husband ordered the grouper with crab stuffing. He said it was very average, the portion on the small side. I ordered The MO-FROG-MO according to the server a local dish. Underseasoned. Lack of flavor. Not going back. The parking lot is always full so they must be doing something right.

We had an impromptu family gathering there. The family didn’t all arrive at the same time and some were even unpleasant. In all of that turmoil, the staff there accommodate us ALL and had exceptional customer service. The food was amazing and the serving sizes are enough for 2 of me. Great experience.

Myron provided excellent service. Our food was delicious. My favorite was the cornbread crab stuffing. Hubby said the cocktail sauce was the very best he has ever had. Portions were large and prices are more than fair. Looking forward to next years visit.
