Some of the best homestyle cooking I’ve ever had. I swear Mrs. Robin has my grandmother or aunt in there cooking for her. Always excellent service, excellent food. I live a couple miles down the road and eat here as often as I can. It seems to be becoming a weekly deal for me. The strawberry cake is the best I’ve ever had, as is the meatloaf. If you get a double burger, I hope you can eat it all in one sitting, that’s all I’m saying. They are ** CASH ONLY**.

So so glad this restaurant is open again! They are only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday right now. They do not have the dine-in option but they do have an ordering window and beautiful picnic tables outside. You can order and eat there or call ahead for take out. The food is even better than I remember. I finally got to try the Mac n cheese….WOW! You will be missing out if you don’t try it…or any of their food. The Chic filet sandwich was amazing, the fries, and chips seasoned to perfection, and the burger so fresh. The banana pudding is the best I’ve ever had…sorry mom But seriously…best mac n cheese ever!

We passed by this place and turned around and came back to it and WOW glad we did. The hand made hamburger steak platter I got with collards and baked mac and cheese was delicious. The brownie warmed with ice cream, whipped cream drizzled in chocolate and topped with a cherry made my day! I am stuffed! Try this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Oh my word!! What a lucky find! So many times we go by it is late and they are closed, Saturday we were traveling earlier and we’re able to stop. We had a hotdog basket with homemade chips, my son had a cheeseburger and fries. The chips were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly crispy and served with a side of ranch. My hotdog was delish, with chili, slaw and mustard. The chili and slaw are homemade and are perfect – simple and tasty! There is a walk up window and outside seating, which is perfect for us. The owner is very friendly is a one-woman show – she makes the chili and slaw and prepares the order. I highly recommend giving it a try!!

The perfect start to our vacation! Don’t walk…run to the Seahorse Grill for the best catfish, shrimp, hush puppies, and collards around! The only thing better the food was the kindness we received.

Stopped on a return trip from Surf City. Ordered fried catfish with cole slaw, collards, and hush puppies. The food was EXCELLENT – generous portions, catfish was perfectly seasoned and fried, collards were nearly as good as mom’s, slaw and hush puppies were good as well. Friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely be back soon.

My husband and I were on our way to a family get together at North Topsail Beach. We happened upon the Sea Horse Cafe and it is a real gem. It is a classic small town restaurant, absolutely spotless, both restaurant and bathrooms. The food was perfectly prepared and made with good, quality ingredients. The homemade potato chips, wafer thin and perfectly spiced are addictive! They are accompanied by homemade buttermilk ranch dressing which was perfect. They came with my pork bbq sandwich which was awesome! My husband had a ham club sandwich which was great. Peach cobbler, homemade of course, finished the meal. Best of all, Cassandra and the wonderful chef (I forgot her name) are the epitome of what I’ve heard about southern hospitality.

Very friendly staff, burger was good a little heavy on the mustard though, but that is just my preference. Nice laid back atmosphere. There’s only one waitress and one cook so expect a wait. My family enjoyed our visit there.

Stopped for the first time and it will not be the last time. Great hotdogs and fries. I am looking forward to trying more on the menu. The staff was great and the prices are reasonable. I will be planning my trips to Topsail to be in the area for lunch or dinner in the future!
