Sea Daddy is a awesome place to get fresh caught Halibut, cod or yellow eye fish. It’s fried on a stick and comes with lemon slice and homemade sauce. The decor is great. Walk ten minutes away from all the tourists and enjoy. Really it is awesome

The location is not at downtown area but worth few more steps. I got fried yellow eye, OMG! Never had fish so tender and delicious… not much seasoning, but good enough to taste the fish original favor.

I wish Google had a six-star option, because Sea Daddy’s would get it! Best fried fish—”Sitka-bobs”—the proprietor, Scotty, is calling them. Incredible battered yelloweye and halibut on a stick, delicious secret recipe tartar (even though the fish really doesn’t need it), and the best atmosphere you’ll find in Sitka, I guarantee. You’ll have to walk off the beaten pathway, away from the hordes of cruise ship people, but what you’ll find will not disappoint. Scotty even let us take his canoe for a spin on the bay while he cooked our fish (yes, he even has a few PFDs you can use as seat cushions.) Paddle out, get a family selfie, and let Scotty host your experience that you’ll never forget. Bring cash and a sense of adventure… THIS is what experiencing Alaska is all about.

Found this Local joint through Google and have to agree it was a great place for fried fish on a stick. We had Cod and Halibut. We were on a cruise ship and explored on our on, make sure to bring cash and something to drink. You will be glad you stopped by!

My family loved our unexpected stop at Sea Daddy. Great, fresh halibut and yellow eye rock fish cooked on the spot . Off the beaten trail but a highlight of our day in Sitka.

Leave Lincoln street and bring 20$ cash. The menu is only fish and what is fresh. Hand crafted tarter sauce that is to die for.

Scotty is a local legend and makes one thing- the best fried fish on a stick you will ever have. Add to it that his fish shack is one of the best museums in town and the curator is your chef. Want authentic, local, fresh, quality seafood then eat here. Bring something to drink and if you want a side dish order a second different fish. Place is pure joy. I catch tons of fish here and cook a lot but go to Scotty for fried fish because it’s the best and I learn more every time I go there.
