Mom and I went for lunch, and this was my first time here. Her 2nd. She had the oxtail, and I had the chicken curry. I have to say, best Jamaican food I have ever had. The oxtail was fantastic, and the curry was so flavorful. I took the pictures after eating some, so they are not the best, but trust me…this place is worth a try if you’re looking for real authentic Jamaican food. He also gave us a nice refreshing pineapple/ginger drink that was amazing!! A+++

It’s rare that a single restaurant has multiple 10/10 bites, but the jerk pork ribs, oxtails and brown stewed chicken all met the mark. The rice and peas, mac and cheese and stewed cabbage were perfect sides to pair with our choices of meat. Not to mention the beef patty and coco bread. We came here because of the wonderful reviews and Chef Chaplain exceeded expectations. If you’re searching for food in Myrtle Beach, don’t second guess yourself. Stop here!

I’m here visiting from out of town. My sister decided to pay for lunch today. She didn’t tell me what she was going to order. Well, she ordered from Scotch Bonnet. OMG! The food was absolutely delectable! I’ve not had Jamaican food this great before. We had the jerk chicken with steamed rice and peas along with the steamed vegetables If you have not yet eaten here, you must try this restaurant. You would be pleasantly pleased!

Came here for the first time based off the reviews. Food was delicious. Got the oxtail and rice and peas, the oxtail was seasonal well, and so soft and the rice and peas was perfect as well as the cabbage. I didn’t get to go inside, my husband did, he said the staff were very nice and personable, they even went above and beyond and gave us samples which has never happened at any Jamaican restaurant that we’ve ever been to. Definitely check this place out, totally worth it!

Very clean and friendly environment. My first time here. Food was good. After the cashier took my money, she washed her hands and wore gloves, that was impressive. You should try it sometimes!

I was the only customer in line and I felt rushed ordering. The jerk chicken was juicy and really good! The oxtails were all fat and bone – not worth the money. I got the Mac and cheese as well, which wasn’t bad. The worst part about the meal was the old rice. It was terrible! It was hard and clunky as if they heated it in a microwave.

My mom & I went in just yesterday for the first time and boy did we have the best experience. Chef Chaplain is truly amazing, the fried snapper meal was divine and so was the oxtail. Definitely will be going back. Food is made fresh and the service is top tier!

Definitely authentic Jamaican food! Food is full of flavor and very delicious. The serving portion is also worth your money. The head chef/owner is also very friendly and this definitely adds to the vibe of the restaurant. The jerk chicken is amazing and my favourite! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for real good tasting Jamaican food.

(Update) To the Masterchef or whoever was working on 7/19 at 12:30pm, I was told in person that the beef patties would not be ready because the food truck was still being unloaded. I asked if they were made fresh, I was told no. That they come in frozen off the food truck. Don’t lie about the quality of your food and get upset at the customer.
