Nice little spot in the middle of Iowa. Great menu selection. Tried the pork tenderloin sandwiches both fried and grilled. Both were excellent. There was only one server and wow was she hustling!! She did a super job.

Everyone’s meals were great! I had steak, husband had hot wings, dad had tenderloin, mom had ribs. Great service, good atmosphere, and the bathrooms were nice and clean. Definitely a good reason to come to New Sharon, IA.

The food is fine but we have been here twice now and had to wait over an hour for food each time. Pretty sure they actually lost our order this time because three other tables who were seated after us got their food first. Our waitress just kept saying that our food was “coming up right now”. It was not. Over 60 minutes after ordering our two burgers and plate of cheese fries finally arrived. When I paid the bill, I asked if there was a discount for the hour-long wait for our food. The girl at the register just smiled and said “no.” We won’t be back!

It took a little over 2 hours to get our food for a group of 9 people (we even had called earlier in the day to make a reservation). Over an hour in, 2 people in our group were told they’re out of the bone-in wings they had ordered. Kind of crazy it took the kitchen that long to notice. The pork tenderloin I ordered was just okay. Our waitress was great, the kitchen staff not so much.

The food and drinks were good, but the service from the wait staff was mediocre. We came in as a group of 7 for a birthday, and we drove almost an hour to come there specifically. We very frequently had no drinks, and that’s what we were there for. We waited a very long time for our food, and steaks came out cooked incorrectly. Overall the food was good, but there seemed to be no attention to details. Also, we felt very much like we didn’t belong there, and attention seemed to be focused on people sitting at the bar and not us. There were also children running wild through the seating area and around the pool tables. I am very understanding of allowing children in the restaurant, but they were unsupervised and running around like they do it every weekend. I know the restaurant was busy because it was a Saturday night, and our waiter was nice but not at all attentive. He seemed way more interested in hanging out around the bar and talking. I’m not sure that I would recommend Scooters to someone or go back.

Took over two hours to get our food. We ordered an app of onion rings and had found RAW CHICKEN in it! They give us a new batch, and SAME RESULTS!!! Finally ours mains come out, I asked for a medium steak. It was still raw and not very good. I felt horrible for the waitress. I love Scooters the Pub, but not the Grub.

A friend had told us that Scooter’s had an awesome tenderloin so we made the 170 mile round trip from CR on 10/2/13. We were not disappointed, it was quite large, really meaty, done golden brown, came with abundant pickles and thinly sliced onions. You could cut in half and make a double! Would I do it again? You betcha, it is one of the top 5 in the state for sure.. Great service also.
