We were craving a good Italian night out. While our server was phenomenal (as always), the French onion soup was too salty and the lasagna was dry. We were comped, but very saddened by the lack of attention to the food. We will try again, hopefully the chef has a better evening. We have been going to Scarpettas for a handful of years now and the lasagna used to be #1 choice.

Came from Toledo specifically for the Alfredo. My daughter ate hers because she was hungry and the sauce never came. Received only a 50 percent discount for her Alfredo entree . The one on the left my wife’s done properly the one on the right garbage.

I’ve been here on several occasions now. The efficiency of the seating , and of the server has always been wonderful. Brie is always sweet and respectful. She is always willing to stop and answer a question. The food has been in a timely manner and is satisfying . We will be back ,

We were seated promptly but everything went downhill from there. We went on a Friday night and it took 10 minutes for the waitress to take our drink order, then she was ready to take our food order after just giving us water. It wasn’t that busy but it took another 5-10 minutes to have our drinks served. We each ordered 2 Tapas plates as our dinner. All the food did not come out together and my husband had to wait several minutes for his food after I was already served. All of this would have been forgivable if the food was good. But every dish was very disappointing. My spinach dip was only lukewarm- however the waitress did offer to take it back to be warmed up. It was light on spinach, heavy on mayo. It was served with terrible hard crackers that were almost inedible, and Italian bread that was neither fresh nor toasted but somewhere in between making it taste dry and stale. The wasabi tuna was bland and had no wasabi flavor at all. My husband had fried mushrooms in “truffle sauce”. There was nothing truffle about the cream sauce that anyone could’ve made with flour and milk. Very bland flavor. And lastly the fried ravioli with Italian red sauce- how can you mess that up? Yet that sauce had a very weird flavor to it. Ragu would’ve been better and that’s not saying much. When asked how our meal was, we were honest with the waitress, and she shared with us that their regular chef was not present or on some type of leave, not sure. I’d heard about this restaurant before from others who thought it was great but this was one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. It’s too bad the substitute chef could not follow the recipes of the regular chef successfully. I doubt we’ll ever come back.

First time here. There aren’t many Italian restaurants in the area, glad this is so close and locally owned. The food and mixed drinks tasted wonderful and were reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming back.

Great atmosphere. The white sangria is phenomenal. The pasta carbonara was delightful, especially with adding chicken.
