Visited here while we had family vacation at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. We enjoyed ice cream outside the bar restaurant. We also bought fried seafood takeout for our lunch. The food was deliciously prepared. The ice cream seemed to be a bit too sweet… Service was good. A nice choice for your travel rest stop.

Save your time and money and go elsewhere. $42 for fried scallops and whole belly clams served on a togo container? Not worth it. The portions are so small and there is no taste. 5 small fried scallops and a whole bunch of fries underneath. The coleslaw also had no taste. Fries tasted like old grease.

42$ for the worst food I think I’ve ever had. I’ve been coming to sawyers for 10 years. I took my girlfriend here for our 3 year anniversary as I told her it’s one of the best places to eat in the area. Sadly under the new management Sawyers of the past is gone. Clams had no taste. Fries were cooked in old grease. You also only get maybe 5 scallops in a 42$ meal. I 100% advise you not to waste your time or money here. Staff was terrible. The lady working did not know how to work the POS. The energy in the kitchen is extremely off / dead. No manager anywhere to be found. I see the owners other restaurant they own “the lunchbox” has 2 star reviews. Surpise.

Food was good but you get next to nothing for the price. And getting the things that come with your meal is apparently difficult to accomplish here. I literally had to describe their own menu to them. Not to mention, they ran out of hot fudge and bananas like around 2pm. ♀️ Finally, I’m pretty sure I got food poisoning from their bacon wrapped scallops. I do not recommend them.

I do love their ice cream and have never had a problem there. My issue is with the food and inside dining and it is a hot mess. Went for lunch and it wasn’t very busy. Young lady taking orders doesn’t know much about anything. Cooks were too busy on their cell phones instead of cooking. One family had been there for a long time, had ordered and paid and waiting for the food, including Mac and cheese for kids. After at least 20 minutes had passed they were finally told there was no mac and cheese.

Food was horrible ordered a burger well done got it rare cook gave me major attitude when I told him it was suppose to well done didn’t want to make it right. Asked for a manager. She made him remake the burger. Also had a gift certificate from a previous bad visit which wouldn’t ring through cashier asked me to pay another way instead of using there gift certificate they sent me for garbage service and food the last time. Ordered nachos they where like rubber they were so stale. Hope the new owner fixes what’s wrong about the food and the employees. I know they wouldn’t be my employees anymore!
