Everything was wonderful and they kept giving us extra food. It was very fast service and no complaints. All of the workers were very efficient and pleasant. It is a shame that they have recently gotten some bad reviews because they provided a great experience for me and my party of 6. I will be back.

Waited half hour for drink orders to be even taken. Water could be poured out of salad. Soup had no taste whatsoever. Didn’t get my meal till after told I never received mind. Appetizer sushi came after done with dinner for entire table. Put my husband and I on 2 separate bills. Then after paid and was going to car came out and said Didn’t pay. Went back in showed not only both paid slips, showed on cc paid. And then tried to back track said oh forgot to sign no look at other slip I didn’t signeither. They couldn’t find slip then. Same slip said Didn’t pay. I never write bad reviews. This wasn’t just my experience thou was everyone around us experience too. Looks to me like was trying to charge me not only for my meal Didn’t even get. And 2 for when got second chef to cook mine with my husband’s after waiting. Second chef was only good thing I can say about this place.

I loved sawa, and it’s been about a year since I’ve been there till today. First off the waiter was absolutely TERRIBLE! His attitude was like he didn’t want to be there. Not one time did he ask if we wanted refill on drinks, ask for extra napkins and brings out 1. Second off the chef, he wasn’t terrible and the food was good. BUT he didn’t even interact with us and took over 45mins to even come out to the grill and they weren’t even busy. We spent an hour and half there when usually your there 30mins to a hour and this was lunch time. I was very very unhappy with my serive/experience I received today and I don’t know if I’ll take the 35min trip to boardman to go back.

I have been going to Sawa for so long and I’ve never had service the way I did today. The wait was short but as soon as my boyfriend and I were seated we had to wait like fifteen minutes to place our order. There were two other tables complaining about their service/food and another guy who was overcharged for his dinner. We got two chicken and steak hibachi dinners and a California roll. The roll was super small. Our dinners came with soup and salad, our salads were watered down and so was the soup! The soup tasted like hot water. After complaining to the server, our food comes out and it’s the smallest portion I’ve ever received! Usually when I go here I cannot finish my food and I can barely fit it in the take home box because there’s so much! I literally counted eight pieces of chicken on my plate. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back

I place a take out order. The man who waited on me to pick it up was not very kind at all. His attitude was very rude and unwelcoming. The food was not very good either for the portion. I am very disappointed with the experience. do better.

I wanted to take my girlfriend out to dinner tonight and the lady told us 10 minutes took her 45 minutes to seat us. They were under staffed and that’s fine. We ordered sushi while we ordered out drinks so it would come out faster, well we were wrong. Didn’t get it until our food was done and nobody was in there eating at the time. Our chef was amazing the sushi not so good. I asked the server about it and he said no problem then the same lady that told me 10 minutes comes over and starts arguing with me about it. It was so bad that my dog wouldn’t have ate it. She asked me if I had crab Before . It was microwaved and chewy and tasted like s***For her to argue with a customer like that infront of the whole table is not good. Lost ours and their business. She wanted me to eat a cupcake out of her a**for her to take it off the bill. Disgusting

Sawa used to be my favorite Japanese restaurant. It has went way down hill and the prices are outrageous. Restaurant is always extremely understaffed but they still continue to seat people and make them wait hours without letting them know before they decide if they want to stay or not, it’s all about money! The dining room tables are all uneven and when you sit down it feels like you’re two feet away from the table. I won’t be back ever again.

We were told 5-10 minute wait and we waiting 30 minutes which we didn’t even mind because they looked under staff. As soon as we sat down we ordered our sushi with our drinks. We waited 35 minutes for our sushi and it came out barely rolled, we ate it and it tasted like the crab was garbage microwaved. We never complain about anything but mentioned it and she argued with us in front of the rest of our table and literally asked us if I ever ate crab before? Lol just very disappointed how the whole situation was handled and the food not being that great. Will not be coming back. The further drive to Ichiabn or somewhere else is worth it.
