We came for Christmas Eve dinner and sat on the outside heated area and had a lovely dinner. It was soooo warm and festive for the holiday! Staff was lovely. The food was decadent and rich. The breadsticks are out for his world and I happily ate too many. I enjoyed my main dish, which was a special Tuscan salmon, but I did find both my main and the appetizer were super creamy, cheesy and heavy but didn’t have as much depth of flavor/spice/variety. I love butter and heavy cream more than most but I ended up super full quickly and just wanted more on my palate. I will say the whole table left full and happy! I’d be back for a date night, special occasion or family gathering for sure!

Great Italian food. This is our 2nd time eating at this restaurant (first time was 1 year ago in Kingston location). Both experiences were excellent. We would definitely go again and again. This Red Hook location is a beautiful restaurant, with a great atmosphere including a large amount of outdoor seating. The indoor seating is well distanced. The service was stellar and all the hostess and wait staff was very attentive! Great place!

Savona’s Trattoria Red Hook N.Y. Quaint Italian bistro style, calamari was fresh but very overdone, garlic breadstick tasty but too much oil. Oven brick pizza, thin crust ,tasty but it would have been tastier if pork sausage was used rather than turkey sausage. If your in the area and hankering for pizza give Savona’S a try. $$

My wife picked Savona’s for her birthday dinner and we were both very pleased with the menu selection.

An old-fashioned, in a good way, Italian restaurant with freshly prepared favorites. The gratis garlic sticks are a welcome treat. My non-Italian chopped salad with grilled salmon was excellent. Others had Nonna’s meatballs, which they loved. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. We’ve had lunch here twice and we’ll be back to try dinner.

We went for dinner on a Saturday night. In the past the service was impeccable and the food delicious. Sadly, they have slipped a notch or two. Our eggplant and mozzarella appetizer was cold. They did take it back and reheat it when I asked why it was cold. My chicken parm was okay but wasn’t special. They served the main course without giving us any utensils. Again, they corrected it but a fork and knife should be automatic. I’m not ready to write them off but clearly they weren’t on their game Saturday night.

Everyone of the staff that my wife and I met was a pleasure. But, our waiter, Andrew, was just terrific! By showing a bit of interest in us and asking us about where were from and how we ended up at Savona’s added a very pleasant touch to a very fine dinner!

Always great, consistent food. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had pasta chicken carbonaro which was excellent. We told them it was our friends birthday, and they brought out extra cannolis for dessert!
