Chef Robert Terry has worked all over the world in New York, Chicago, Vienna, Austria and Houston and now brings his 37 years of Culinary experience to Clarkston, WA.
Chef Robert’s passion for food is evident in his seasonal menu that features fresh produce from his garden or foraged in the mountains highlighting the goodness that the Northwest provides naturally. Sauté’s dining room looks out on the city street, or dine in our rustic speakeasy lounge downstairs, or outside on our pet friendly patio. Entrance is in the rear on Sycamore Street.

I wanted to try this fine dining establishment after many rants and raves from the locals. I chose my birthday of all days to do so and I am so pleased with my decision! The host welcomed my husband and I with a smile, let us know what the specials of the evening were then sat us at a table in their downstairs dining room. We were greeted by our server, Asia who was friendly and prompt to take our drink and entree orders. We started with the Black Pan Mushroom Fondue which was hot and full of flavor. For my entree I selected the special of the day which was Maine Scallops with Saffron rice, broccolini in a creamy sauce. Absolutely delectable! We chose the Dark Chocolate Flourless Cake for dessert and the hostess remembered we were celebrating a birthday so she brought out our desert and a big sparkler fountain! Such a spectacular touch to the already excellent experience we had. I am very pleased with Sauté on Sixth and now understand why the locals speak so highly of it! Thank you Sauté on Sixth staff for making this a wonderful birthday dinner.

Before dinner cocktail unique and refreshing. Steak was perfectly grilled and beautifully presented with fresh broccoli and potatoes. Bar atmosphere was delightful and wait staff attentive. I’ll return again, and in the meantime, I’ll tell my friends about this place.

It’s still hard to believe this level of culinary experience is available in the Lewis Clark Valley, or anywhere within 250 miles for that matter. This beats or is on par with the best a place like Vegas has to offer. Momofuku, Hells Kitchen, Saute on 6th–all the same top level. There is a chef that should be a celebrity living right here, and I don’t think enough people realize what they have right under their noses. Does Da’Vinci live in your home town? He lives in ours!
