The most unbelievable omakase meal I’ve had in NYC. The chef has over 5 decades of experience under his belt and it absolutely shows in every bite of the meal. So much love and care is put into every dish. The fish is always the freshest catch of the day to guarantee the best possible dining experience. You cannot miss this.

I cannot give this enough stars. If you’ve ever had a meal that filled you with regret because you know that this feeling and this flavor was going to end at some point…this is where you have that feeling in spades. Chef Suzuki-san was friendly, impeccable and creative all at the same time. All the fish sourced were unbelievable and totally different.

This place was excellent overall. The nigiri and sashimi were fresh and the chef was entertaining. The ambiance was very calming with its wooden decor and intimate, having space for only 8 seats or so. I thought the service could be improved. Our server was fine but not the most friendly. The omakase was well balanced and executed. The dessert at the end was this ice cream sandwich that I thought was very unique and tasty. A great way to end the meal. If you’re into sushi, this place is worth a visit.

Perfect experience. From cocktails, service & of course the masters that prepared our sushi; this place hits high marks on every level. There’s a great focus on detail & presentation and the fish is delivered daily from Japan. I can go and on, ambiance, decor… very memorable. Thank you for this great experience chefs Sawada & Suzuki!!

I couldn’t find your email to contact so I’m commenting here. I’m just trying to apply as server here I used to work at sushi of Gari. Please leave your email here so I could sent my resume and set an interview if possible. As of food. I know it’s super legit just by the presentation and the color of your fish. It must taste super amazing and I’m looking forward to atleast taste it in future.

Great place for omakase. Otoro (fatty tuna) at this establishment is very unique. It is like butter melting in your mouth. I would recommend the regular sushi than the late night as I think the appetizer and the sashimi plate are well worth the extra money.

Visited here with several first timers eating at omakase sushi restaurant (plus one kosher, which they accommodated if you call ahead). Food is excellent, with beautiful presentations, and nice atmosphere at the counter. Great service and chef took time to explaine the fish and how to eat them (several times to some). It is expensive but we’ll worth it as everybody ate everything and had a great time with great review.

An amazing Omakase experience in NYC. It is also a 1-star Michelin restaurant. The sushi is extremely fresh and tasty. They just melted in your mouth! Watching the chef making the sushi is also a great enjoyment. Do book in advance as the sushi bar is small.

Outstanding Edomae Sushi, a real treat like being transported to Tokio in midtown Manhattan. Don’t expect creative or modern sushi, this is sushi done with the precision of a zen monk!

Great environment and high quality sushi. We went at lunch time, and the service of the server was just so so, seemed like he was quite busy. There were 7 guests at the sushi counter, he should be the designated server for this area, and shouldn’t run around…. especially for such high-end restaurant.
