I had a disappointing experience at Satay Bar and I would not recommend this Thai restaurant. The menu has significantly reduced due to a loss of staff and many of the popular items are no longer being served (see attached photo for currently available items).

The food was great; unfortunately they did not list their allergens on their menu and did not designate that their dishes contain fish sauce— Not in ingredient list nor as allergen symbol. Upon realizing as my partner started to eat, I promptly called and they indicated there was nothing they could do, and were not able to remake the dish without charging us. I’m highly disappointed and hope they can update to ensure proper food labeling and safety as well as show care for their customers.

Such a cute hidden gem in my neighborhood. It’s easy to overlook Satay Bar with the myriad of choices you have in Greenwood, but doing so would be an absolute mistake. Their menu is elegantly simple so you won’t feel intimidated by choice. The satay I had was a revelation, a perfect balance of flavors and the perfect size to accompany it with another appetizer. The staff were a delight and added to the cozy and friendly atmosphere they’ve cultivated. Perfect for a stop in on your lunch break, or an intimate dinner. If you haven’t eaten here already and you live in the area, you’re sorely missing out.

Hands down one of my favorite places in Seattle! Every time I’m in the city Satay Bar is at the top of my list to go to. Everything is so delicious and the owners + staff are very friendly! Even with a slightly reduced menu you can always ask if they can make something off the menu and they might be able to 🙂 100000/10 recommended!!

I wanted to give this place a 5 star! Family owned business and I want to give back. They were so sweet. I’ve been wanting to come here for awhile now. We mainly wanted appetizers and drinks and the food did not disappoint. Their alcohol selection is pretty much non existent. Only one beer on tap and yellow tail for wine. We opted out for wine for obvious reasons. Ha! We got some sake instead. Quick service and the main dishes looked promising when others were being served. Cute little quaint spot for a great meal!

Our food was very flavorful with perfectly cooked steak and shrimp. The place was half empty, which ensured we got our dinner quickly! We’ll be back.

Visited here the second time, ordered the seafood delight (yellow curry seafood). The taste is OK, but it still has the same issue as the before – some of the ingredients are not fresh. The calamari has been frozen for too long, I can definitely tell it is far from fresh. The scallops are so tiny they are hard to find. This restaurant tends to use none-fresh and cheap ingredients to save the costs.

I love this little spot! The owners/staff are super nice and you can see them cooking in the open kitchen. The drunken noodles are my favorite! You can place orders online for pick up at specific times which is really convenient.
