Sarku offers hibachi style teriyaki, sushi and bento boxes. We ordered both a chicken and beef bento. The food was okay. Nothing great. The beef portion was significantly less food than the chicken. They charge extra for the Yum Yum sauce which I am not a big fan of either. We did get one free container with our meal.

Excellent customer service, decent sushi. The prices were a bit much for a Chicken Teriyaki bento box and a sushi roll ($21)… At that price I would’ve rather gone to a real sushi restaurant and definitely would have enjoyed the food more. The food at Sarku wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t anything I’d return for.

Food came out pretty quick and the staff was nice. The shrimp teriyaki was more sweet than I would have liked, but good for what it was. Did find a piece of plastic in my salad, though.

I had low expectations walking in to be honest, but the establishment is kept comfortably chill. A sleek enough interior where there is enough furniture to be content and not overcluttered.

I love this style of food and really wanted to like this new place. I’ve been three times now. First was a good experience with good food and adequate service. The second time the cashier had a verbal fight with a member of the kitchen staff who was walking into the seating area. It was extremely unprofessional in front of customers.

Went on the grand opening today and received free chicken teriyaki for a year for being one of the first 100 customers! Very delicious and friendly staff!

It was a nice treat to have on am evening shopping trip. The menu is not to complex. The portions are manageable and don’t over stuff you but priced well enough to allow you to get a little something extra.

I would like to have liked this place, I really would, it was new and clean and everything was bright and shiny. I cannot, however. The staff were incredibly ignorant about what the food was made of and/or contained. I needed to know for food allergy reasons and the answers I got were indicative of them not having a clue at all about the menu, the ingredients, or why they should know or care. The pictures of the food do not show what you are going to get, for example, the tempura California rolls are drenched in eel sauce when served, but the pictures of them show them without all that sauce all over the place. The teriyaki was the oiliest I have ever seen, but it tasted good. Having said all that, I believe that this is a good place that is trying to punch up the flavor dial to eleven to cover for a low budget approach to Japanese food. The restaurant was clean. The beverage fountain had Coke products. Overall forgettable Japanese version of Panda Express.

I have to say I prefer the location at Dulles Town Center. I ordered chicken and shrimp and got all of four shrimp, half my chicken was in a lump of gristle and disgusting. I think I’ll drive to Dulles Town Center if I really want good Chicken & Teriyaki. I would not recommend. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the vegetables were decent.
