Definitely will not return here. The food is very average. Barely any flavor and poorly made. Little value for money. The service is deplorable. There is no one managing the crowd waiting to be served, nor does it seem that there is a method by which they seat persons. It took forever for a server to show up and when she did, she was rude, did not appear to be interested in answering questions and essentially rushed us. I ordered a Coke , which came hot and when I asked for ice, she indicated that they were not serving ice “right now”. So I drank a hot coke with a tasteless meal.

Came after 3 yrs and I would say food and service both have changed drastically .? it was not a crowded place as we went at 5 in the evening. We ordered 4 dosa , coffee and Kesari rava. Rava Kesari was standard. Coffee was also good. They got 4 dosa at 15 min gap each . They missed the masala and on telling they just refilled the same and went. Earlier they use to give proper white and green color coconut chutney and red chutney. This time it was white and red chutney. Red one tasted like raw tomato paste and white one was not pure coconut chutney . That authentic taste of Chennai sarvana Bhavan is no more as it use to be earlier ..

Big,spacious , hustle, bustle and noisy yeah ! It’s dosa, idly, sambar, chutney, Kesari halwa!!! All the dishes were yum, non spicy and served quickly !!! Not to mention the piping hot filter coffee and chai . Totally crowded for the morning breakfast ; opens at 11 am.Even the paan was available .

No basic sense of serving a hot tea. I ordered a chai or tea. I was given a cold cup of tea. When requested for a hot cup, I got a rude response that this is how they serve.

Saravana Bhavan is at a great 2nd location in Frisco. The best part is everything vegetarian, so there’s no fear of non veg oils being mixed. It has an open kitchen. Great tasting south Indian food. They have a good variety as well.

The time we entered the restaurant, it looked too crowded over weekend, but they were able to clear it as there were many tables arranged. Had ordered meals and masala dosa. Both were ok.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Hotel Saravana Bhavan. The prices were exorbitant for what turned out to be a complete letdown. Not only did the food lack any hint of authentic taste, but it also seemed like they were serving leftovers from days ago. The dish was cold and stale, making me question the freshness of their ingredients. Felt so bad to waste the food but I expected much better for the price I paid. Definitely not worth a visit if you’re looking for genuine saravana bhavan flavors and South Indian.

Very good south Indian food! We initially went on weekend and the wait time was like 45 mins and kids were hungry. so we left and and went on a weekday. We were seated and order was taken quickly. Food was very good. Only thing we had trouble was they delivered all the food at the same time and we did not even have space to keep our food on the table. We did not realize they will serve the food quickly LOL. So if you are ordering multiple items it is better to order second time so you can enjoy the food while it is hot.

Food was great and similar to what we get in India. Service can be better, people come and ask us to get ready with the order multiple times (within 5 mins they handout the menu) and they stand between the tables and keep looking if we call them for anything during eating. Rest all like price, food quality, location and taste I will give 5 star.

We’ve been here several times and it’s always consistently good. We usually get the chole bhatura or the mixed vegetable parotta and it’s always nice. Also recommend the kesari and the coffee. It’s not a place you would go to if you want the best ambience and service, but the food makes up for it. That being said, there’s usually a big crowd on weekends so be aware.
