Very nice find. The crust is midway between Sicilian and CT thin crispy, more towards Sicilian. We liked it a lot.

Cozy little restaurant. Family friendly. Welcoming staff. They sell pizza by the slices, have a regular menu and specials. Their grinder/subs are good, they use sesame seed bread. There’s outdoor seating as well.

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. This was an excellent experience. I ordered a side dish of meatballs and a Grandma’s Pizza. The meatballs were some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Juicy, flavorful, and tasty throughout with plenty of sauce. The Grandma’s pizza was also excellent. Very nice crust, great sauce with a little bit of tang, just a big time winner. And the people were extremely pleasant and helpful. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.6.

Best Pizza in Old Lyme and probably the vicinity as well. The sauce is powerful with its flavors. The dough is that perfect blend of crunchy outside and chewy on the inside. Toppings are generous and excellent quality! I’m a regular once a week here!

Relocated from New Jersey…we’ve been searching for great pizza without any luck (sorry CT)! And then we found Sapore! Delicious pizza, great bread for sandwiches! We still love our NJ pizza, bagels and pork roll, but Sapore makes us happy!

My fiancé and I just moved into the neighborhood, and we were looking for a good pizza place with delivery. We came across Sapore Pizzeria and we decided to give them a try and wow did they impress! Quick service, delivered within 30 minutes, food was hot, pizza was one of the best I have ever had. We had guests over from NY, and they were impressed too. My favorite is the Grandma’s Pizza. Highly recommend! We haven’t been able to dine in yet, but definitely will in the future. If you’re looking for a great pizza place, look no further!

Amazing follow-up to the old Illianos restaurant from years prior; Scarpetta learns from the mistakes of the ill-faited Stellas restaurant from last year and improves on every aspect. La Scarpetta Pizzeria features great sandwiches and some of the best pizza on the shoreline. Love it every time.
