We tried Saona for the first time today and it did not disappoint! I had the fried Snapper (tasty and fresh) with Yuca Frita. The side mango salad was a nice surprise! My husband had the Chuleta with Rice & Beans which he enjoyed very much. We will definitely continue to visit Saona! Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we were ok at all time.

My mother and I enjoy going to new local restaurants to support. Unfortunately, from the moment we entered they were very rude. We waited about 15 to have no service at all with no menus or any QR to view the menu. Our last straw is when we saw them servicing a table that arrived after us. We were totally ignored, we had to leave. Horrible service and will not be going again.

This place is kinda Garbo. I got the pernil with sweet platanos and the fried fish for a friend Which was supposed to be with potato salad but they gave me fries instead. The pork was extremely dry and and plantains were straight undercooked so they weren’t caramelized. I got a mojito that was extremely below average and 15 DOLLARS that’s kinda expensive in nyc let alone up here. And it made both me and my Friend both sick after eating so yeah I won’t be eating here anytime soon

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and decorations of one of our newest restaurants here in Monroe. I had high hopes for this as I went with my Dominican wife and hoped to surprise her with maybe our new favorite restaurant. The menu immediately stood out to me as being a bit pricey more in line to what I would expect in the city. We ordered two drinks that had to be sent back as they were not good. We had an appetizer that was okay and unfortunately that was the best of the evening. I ordered Carnitas that both of us tried and couldn’t bring ourselves to eat as it was dry, very chewy, and no flavor. My wife had the pernil which was very moist but again lacking of any flavor. We pretty much shared the pernil platter and sent back the carnitas. I am hoping that this is just growing pains of a new restaurant and they are able to remedy these issues and we have a new dinning choice here but I will be skeptical to return.

We had baby shower and the food was amazing. The decorations were perfect everything was perfect we had wonderful time woth great food and music Love this place would recommend for a great evening out or to have an event. They go above and beyond

Food was great and the pernil was a healthy portion. She forgot my platanos maduros but they were very good when I got them. Drink – (mojito)was good. Server was sweet but spoke NO English at all. Music started out at good volume but then was crazy loud for my whole dinner. When done they walked by my credit card about 3 times before we had to alert them and allow us to pay.

What a wonderful restaurant. Amazing atmosphere, the people there feel like family and the food/drinks are perfect at an affordable price. I actual was surprised at how affordable everything was for the quality so I’ll certainly be going back there with my friends. Thank you!!! ❤️
