Got the kane udon with the onion, sweet potato, and shrimp tempura. You first get your udon (picking either regular or large size), and then pick out from the variety of different tempuras that they have, and then top your udon with the flakes and green onion. The taste was pretty good, not the best I’ve had but decent. The total was around $11.

Stayed in the area for an internship. Never in my wildest dreams think I would get hooked and crave udon and I’ve been eating udon throughout my life. One of the best udons I’ve had. My favorite is the kitsune. The broth is deep and flavorful and the fish cakes is so good. I love adding the tempura crumbs to the broth and getting a sweet potato tempura on the side.

This place is amazing. Best udon you can get in the whole state, I swear. I drive 45 minutes for the Tonkatsu Udon. I would drive more. I would drive to Japan for this food. I would make it work. I would lay my life on the line for this udon. I would sacrifice my first born child for a bowl right now. Do not understand how this place doesn’t have 5 stars, it deserves 7 for the food alone. The guy who’s always there is always very kind and attentive to his customers, and the tempura is consistently good. Highly recommend!

It was my first time having udon. The broth was simple but flavourful, the udon cooked on point and the beef thinly sliced.

Love that there is a selection of tempura that you can pick and choose as you please without required to buy a bowl of udon. This serves us well as we like to try different things in the food court but still want a few tempura.

My regular ramen place at Mitsuwa had a crazy-long wait, so I tried Mugimaru instead and got beef udon. I like that the tempura is à la carte so you can choose just what you like; there was a fair assortment of veggies, but I’d have liked even more. The udon itself was very basic (broth, noodles, protein) and you can top your bowl with tempura flakes, green onion, and ginger. Not bad, and not too greasy, but there are better options in the food court.

There’s a decent selection of toppings, but the broth was not hot at all. Pretty disappointing for an udon restaurant.

If you like basics noodles, ramen, try this. This is a newer store since my previous common visits to this mall few years ago. I think the food court offer better options now at attracting more eaters.
