You Got To Love The Old School Charm of Santarpio’s Pizza Started in 1903 as a Bakery and 30 years later 1933 added Pizza and The Rest is History.

I have tried both the Meat Lovers and The Works. These pizzas are an indulgent delight, generously loaded with a variety of savory meats and toppings complemented by quality cheese. However, due to the abundance of toppings, the center tends to be on the soggy side. Eating with a fork and knife might be unconventional, but it does help tackle the delicious mess. 100% recommend!

Great pizza! We went here before dropping off a friend at the airport – very close to the airport. Pizza came quickly! Cheese was high quality mozzarella, and sauce tasted very good! People working at the time were nice.

What is a trip to Boston without Santaroio’s. This pizza is insane. A little corn meal, perfect spices, cooked to perfection. I couldn’t ask for a better pizza to take back to NY. Looking forward to my next trip to East Boston.

This place is perfect in every way, except that they only accept cash. It’s a no-frills little hole in the wall pizza joint serving up some incredible pizza. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I highly recommend the lamb tips and a plain old cheese pizza. You won’t be disappointed! Incredible!

The best food we had in Boston (seriously). This place is a real Gem. Friendly customer service and great environment. We tried the lamb, beef skewers that come accompanied with green and red peppers and a piece of bread. We also tried and enjoyed the cheese and sausage pizza. Everything was amazing! If you visit Boston you must visit and eat at this place

Food: One of the worst pizza I have ever eaten. I ordered the chicken and shrimp pizza and having eaten pizzas in several countries, this was the worst pizza. The pizza was soggy, floppy and tasteless. Too much sauce on the base and I couldn’t even lift the slice in it’s entirety. Unfortunately this place seems to be very highly rated and this really brings us to question if competency and authenticity of the reviewers. Falling under pressure to rate an already highly rated place highly is the very unfortunate reality of the times we are living in. And this is not restricted to just the food reviews, this mob mentality is evident in every walk of our lives. In any case, worst pizza, never going back again. It tastes like frozen pizza (or worse)

Ordered take out a few days ago — one cheese pizza and one sausage/garlic pizza. I was not impressed with the sausage pizza. There was very little sausage and the herb seasoning was all concentrated in one area. I really don’t know what the hype is about this place. My family has dined in over the years but it hasn’t been like this. Now with littles, it’s just easier to do take out. Maybe the pizzas have more toppings if you dined in instead. Yes, I did open the boxes when I picked up. Yes, I could’ve complained on the spot. Didn’t want to loose my parking spot, so I walked with 3 kids in tow. I didn’t want to make a big fuss then wait for a new pizza.

Probably some of the best pizza you will have in the greater Boston area. Nice and thin without being too floppy and a good crispy crust. Sauce is flavorful and savory, cheese is great and pepperoni is legit. Definitely on the greasy side but I don’t consider that a bad thing, just part of the style of pizza. Service is also fantastic, very polite and fast.
