We came here for the 50% off Early bird special on a Sunday and it was delicious! We had the Crab ramen, misoyaki chicken, no g island pasta and assortment of sushi. We probably ate too much but it was hard to stop!

My friends and I thought that Sansei would be an upscale, fancy dining place, but it was more simple, family style. So I can’t say the atmosphere was super special, but we got a booth, had a great waiter and the food, despite the restaurant being quite busy arrived quickly. Yes, the food was as good as it looks.

Came with a large group of people for a birthday group. We waited over an hour to order drinks and food, at this point everyone was getting pretty hungry. Our server forgot to take the order of 3 people at our table. When my wife started ordering, she turned and walked away and another member of our group had to call her back to which she seemed annoyed that she had to take my wife’s order. The food was pretty average. Expensive for what you get quantity and flavor wise, especially with the wait times. After we got our food, the braised short ribs were bland and soggy, yet also very dry. Not good at all, a waste of $30.

We came here during their Happy Hour special. Came for the discounts, stayed for the food I suppose. Service was wonderful. Food arrived fairly quickly, and was delightful. Would come again.

Not a sushi person but this place was amazing! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable.

Has fresh local sushi in a very busy spot in Waikoloa. The fish is fresh and the overall atmosphere is busy. Lots of tables(some in quite disrepair [my chair had a missing floor protector and was uneven]) and the business was quite busy. Even though it was quite busy, we received our drinks(heavy pours! Gladly welcomed in a Hawaii!) very quick and the food very quickly. My biggest concern with the food was the fact that the rolls seemed rushed. The rolls weren’t well rolled and they were falling apart with the slightest touch. The service was quick but almost seemed as if too quick to have the tables turned asap.

When we arrived for dinner, apparently there was a “special pricing” dinner. When we didn’t have reservations the lady was able to

This was such a disappointing experience. Our waitress was not very nice to our table. She kept calling all of the young adults little kids. She was snappy when one of the young adults was asking a question about the menu. She also forgot to take 2 people in our groups order. After forgetting she was rude about taking their orders implying that it was their fault that she forgot. It took over an hour for the first person to even get started ordering. The braised short ribs were so bland. So was the polenta that it was served on. We waited more than half an hour for our plates to be cleared while they focused on all the tables around us being cleared. It wasn’t that big of a deal until we started to sing one of our group members happy birthday and she cut right in front of the video to clear plates. It felt very disrespectful to get right in the middle of the video (the girl who was taking the video was standing in a very obvious spot.) It ruined the video and the vibe for the night. I would never go back! It was also very expensive for the quality.

The food is good, though it’s on the expensive side. Depending on the time, there may be a wait.

Ate here before our flight off the island and will definitely be back. Enjoyed the miso cod – so buttery and melts in your mouth, a duck fat ramen, sushi rolls and refreshing beverages. Our server was personable and very knowledgeable about the menu and the island.
