Something has changed since the pandemic. The sushi bar has closed and the previous chefs are gone. Some manu items have also been changed now. A few of our favorite appetizers that remains are not as good anymore. Overall still a good Japanese restaurant. We just missed the old time quality.

3/6/2023 Update: No matter how many times I ask Satoshi-san, this Sanraku location will not be bringing back Omakase However, quality of fish is still high and fresh so I still love coming for the Chirashi bowl or Sushi & Sashimi Platter / Sushi Tokujo. My friends also enjoy the cooked dishes too like unagi donburi or udon. And the service from the wait staff and chefs are consistently good and friendly. Admittedly, it’s not quite the same experience as being at the bar and being individually served each nigiri and specialty dish and engaging with the chef. Good times…

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience here! And when we get such good service I always gotta leave a good review! Our server was so nice and had nothing but great recommendations. We were sad to hear he’s moving to Arkansas but we wish him the best of luck! It was also my birthday so he brought out some yummy mochi! The sushi chefs greeted us with big smiles as we came in. A very friendly but nice atmosphere, especially for in a mall! All the sushi was FRESH and DELICIOUS!! Which is super important when picking a sushi place. The pictures speak for themselves We will come again whenever we come back up to visit.

Located at the cute little corner, perfect for lunch time. The salmon nigiri and tempura udon were good. I don’t like the spicy ground beef over rice, it’s too sweet and oily. Highly recommend the grill squid, so fresh and delicious.
