I made sure to make a a reservation a day in advance. I ordered the black cod, incredibly delicious and delicate, next time I’ll skip the edamame and order two pieces of black cod. The 4 piece nigiri was fresh and yummy.

Enjoyed hot house sake at the Sushi Bar and ordered 3 rolls which were all top notch. The Seattle Roll was a nice twist. Great service and conversation with the chef. Will go back when in area.

Niginri pieces are small compared to other Japanese restaurant I been to, seaweed that wraps on the the ikura and sea urchin not crispy anymore as I see the dish was ready by the chef but been sitting out there for at least a couple minutes before it got deliver to us. Not professional.

It’s not a bad sushi place, if you’re in the mood and in the area go for it. I ate outside in a dome pretty cool concept but thats about. Food was good overall but nothing exciting.

We came to SanKai first during the pandemic. We ate in tents outside, it rained all around us. The food was delicious and the ambiance just right for your neighborhood sushi spot. Whenever we’d have a hunkering for sushi and we’d always come here.

Was able to get same day reservations on a Friday night. Ordered agedashi tofu, hotate gyoza, California roll, and a bunch of nigiri. I would recommend the tofu and nigiri. I enjoyed the variety of fresh fish, and would come back if I had a sushi craving! SanKai is more accessible and less expensive than the popular sushi spots in Seattle.

This place became one of our favorite sushi restaurant. We came here during restaurant week. We ordered one SRW menu omakase. The oyster is very refreshing, and the 10 pieces of sushi are just amazing. We end up ordered 2 more times with 10+ pieces each time. Their Japanese uni is one of the best uni I have ever had in the Seattle area. They also have a special list of fish that you can rarely find at other places. We end up spent way more than we planned but it was all worth it. Definitely will come back again.

Glad to have a sushi place near me. Sushi was good and fresh (not mind blowing). The rolls didn’t have their own unique flavors- tasted pretty similar yo each other. Maybe it was just what we ordered.
